Witch Class Guide

Last updated: 5th March 2018

INTRODUCTION

Remember that class guides are a rough explanation of the class, designed to give you an idea of the class and what you should be aiming for. You should really adapt the guide and follow your own instincts to match your play-style! I would also like to give a massive thank you to the Witches in my guild for helping me write this guide and also teaching me how to play my Witch alt.

The Witch class is the typical magic caster class with plenty of ranged AoE spells, slows, knock downs and stuns. Their main weapon is a staff, awakening is the Aad Sphera and their secondary weapon is a dagger. This high damage dealing class also has a range of support skills which make them highly desirable for large scale PVP. The main difference between a Wizard and a Witch is that Wizard is more aggressive and has a grab, whilst the Witch class has a block and is played more defensively with higher range.

DIFFICULTY

PVP

PVE

SIEGE

Witches are very strong in group PvP and sieges but are relatively weak in 1v1 PvP unless you catch your opponent off-guard and are able to stun/knock down. This class can also be played on horseback really well due to the ability to cast all your main damage skills while riding the horse. PvE is very strong and easy due to the amount of AoE skills and long range.

Check out the video below to see some examples of character creation and combat.

PROS

  • Very fast PvE clear speed
  • Lots of AOE
  • Support Utilities for PVP
  • Easy to level
  • Not as reliant on gearscore
  • High passive accuracy allows for AP/DR/evasion builds
  • Highly desired for largescale PVP

CONS

  • Heavily focused in PvP
  • Low mobility
  • Long cast times
  • Weak in 1v1 situations

Strong against:

Witches are weak in 1v1 situtations and most match ups will be hard. In large scale PVP they are very strong however, against both squishy targets and also tanks because of their high burst damage and support abilities to keep them safe.

Weak against:

Witches are weak against Strikers and Mystics because of their high magic resist and chain CC. Other classes with high mobility can also be very hard to deal with, especially in 1v1 situations.

  • Striker
  • Mystic
  • Warrior
  • Witch
  • Wizard

SKILLS

Pre-Awakening skill build – Level 55 (561 skill points): http://bddatabase.net/us/skillcalc/79328
If you’ve just reached level 50 or you’re still leveling, use this build to put you in the right direction of what skills you should be using. Prioritize the following skills: Lightning Chain, Residual Lightning, Blizzard, Mana Absorption.
Make sure you reset your skills at level 56 though because you will need skill points for your awakening skills and will only really need the support skills from pre-awakening.

Post-Awakening skill build – Level 56 (556 skill points): http://bddatabase.net/us/skillcalc/79329

High-Tier skill build (without Absolute Skills) – Level 60 (1583 skill points): http://bddatabase.net/us/skillcalc/79330

End-Game skill build (inc. Absolute Skills) – Level 60 (1735 skill points):
 http://bddatabase.net/us/skillcalc/88604
Always prioritize Awakening skills before leveling your Absolute Skills.

  • Keys in square brackets [] mean that you tap the key. For example, [Q] means you tap Q once.
  • Keys in round brackets () mean that you hold the key. For example, (HOLD Q) means you hold Q until the next step. (PERMAHOLD Q) means you hold Q throughout the combo.
  • Keys separated by a “+” symbol should be used at the same time. For example, [Q] + [LMB] means you tap Q and LMB at the same time.
  • Keys separated by a “>” symbol show the order you should follow out the steps. For example, [Q] + [LMB] > [F] means you tap Q and LMB at the same time, then tap F
  • [LMB] refers to left-clicking with your mouse, [RMB] refers to right-clicking with your mouse.
  • Blue skill names are awakening skills (level 56+).

GENERAL

Staff Attack
[LMB]

This skill is your main auto attack. You can use it to recover MP quickly during PVE. Use A or D to strafe side to side whilst holding LMB to throw the attacks out faster.

Teleport
[SHIFT] + [SPACE]

This is your teleport and the only mobility skill you have. You should make sure you take the Ultimate: Teleport as well so that you can hold SPACE to teleport again afterwards. You can switch direction between the two teleports by turning your camera and can even teleport backwards to your original position using this. You can use this skill whilst in awakening without switching back to your staff.

Magical Evasion
[SHIFT] + [A] OR [S] OR [D]

This is your dodge skill. You can also double-tap W to use this skill. It has shorter cast time with no cool-down but smaller range. This skill uses stamina instead of mana.

Sage’s Memory
Skill bar

This skill does not have a key-bind and will need to be placed on your hot-bar to use. The cool-down is 3 minutes and 30 seconds but once activated you will be able to insta-cast all your skills for 15 seconds.

Magic Lighthouse
Skill Bar

This skill will taunt and tank all nearby enemies for 20 seconds. It does not have a key-bind so you will need to place the skill on your hot-bar. The cool-down is 30 seconds at maximum rank but I wouldn’t bother maxing it straight away.

Spellbound Heart
Skill Bar

This skill will restore mana and give a 10% movement speed buff. It does not have a key-bind so you will need to place the skill on your hot-bar.

Mind Training
Passive

This skill is your passive and will increase your casting speed. Max this skill as far as you can once you have all your main build.

Awakening: Aad Sphera of Deneve
[C]

This skill is taken automatically when you complete your awakening and is used to switch between your main weapon and your awakening weapon.

iconCrevice Protection
[Q]

This skill is your block. It can be used to increase your resistances and on good blocks it will also give you some mana back. If you move after casting this skill it will release the block.

iconPsyche of Aad Sphera
[SHIFT + E]

This skill is taken automatically when you complete your awakening and is your awakening buff. It will regen 700 MP as wel as give you Casting Speed +20%, Critical Hit Rate +20%, All AP +20, All Accuracy Rate +15%, All Evasion Rate +12%, All DP +15 and MP Recovery +80 when using awakening skills for 30 sec. You also have super armor whilst casting this buff.

iconAad Sphera Training
[LMB] or [RMB]

This skill is your awakening auto attack. You should use it when grinding to quickly get mana back and use less/no mana potions. You can also cast this skill whilst moving forwards, left or right but it will consume stamina.

iconSummon: Keeper Gorr
[F]

This skill is used to summon Keeper Gorr. Keeper Gorr will attack targets and you can also use him with some skills to deal extra damage with special attacks. You can use [RMB] while summoning him to use a special skill as well which will inflict stiffness on a good attack. You have super armor whilst casting this skill as well.

iconSummon: Keeper Tett
[F]

This skill is used to summon Keeper Tett. Keeper Tett will attack targets and you can also use him with some skills to deal extra damage with special attacks. You can use [RMB] while summoning him to use a special skill as well which will inflict stiffness on a good attack. You have super armor whilst casting this skill as well.

CROWD CONTROL

Freeze
[SHIFT] + [LMB]

This skill will freeze targets on good hits.

Frigid Fog
[S] + [Q]

This skill will CC all targets in a large area directly in-front of you. The skill also has super armor and down attack with freezing on good hits.

Earth’s Response
[LMB] + [A] OR [D]

This skill will knock down targets and inflict floating on good hits.

iconParalysis
[SHIFT + Q]

Paralysis can be used on a target to inflict debuffs on them. It has a cooldown of 15 seconds and will give a Movement Speed, Attack Speed and Casting Speed -50% debuff for 10 sec on good hits. You should use this before engaging and refresh it when you can during a fight.

DAMAGE

Magic Arrow
[RMB]

This skill can be cast while moving. Moving while casting this skill will drain your stamina. It’s a great skill if you need to kite mobs pre-awakening and also extends into two other skills called “Condensed” and “Multiple Magic Arrows”. Condensed (Left-Click + Right-Click) will fire a charged up version of this skill and Multiple Magic Arrows will also fire arrows when used. Multiple Magic Arrows does not have a key-bind and will need to be placed on your hotbar.

Fireball
[LMB] + [S] > [LMB]

Start casting this skill by using S and Left-Click then press Left-Click again to fire. This skill will knock down up to 7 targets at max rank and will also place a burning debuff on the targets which will deal damage over time. This skill extends into another skill called “Fireball Explosion” which will deal a lot more damage. To use Fireball Explosion, press S and Left-Click to begin casting, then press Left-Click then Right-Click to fire.

Lightning Chain
[SHIFT] + (HOLD RMB)

This skill is great for leveling but drops off once you get level 40 or higher.  This skill will hit 3 targets at the first rank but can be quite annoying because it will target the closest objects including some scenery. This skill extends into the “Lightning Storm” skill which is used by pressing Shift and Right-Click, then Left-Click and Right-Click afterwards.

Lightning
Skill Bar

This skill is your 100% Black Spirit Rage skillLightning is an AoE stun which combos well with it’s extension skill “Residual Lightning”. To cast Residual Lightning, click S and F then Right-Click. This is probably one of the easier combos to use with high damage and a decent cool-down. Be careful while using this skill because it is your Black Spirit Rage skill. Using Lightning Strike when you have 100% Black Spirit Rage will cause you to stand still while casting for quite a long time and can be deadly in PvP or against bosses.

Meteor Shower
(HOLD S) + (HOLD LMB) + (HOLD RMB) > [LMB]

This skill is your 200% Black Spirit Rage skillStart casting this skill by using S, Left-Click and Right-Click then press Left-Click again to fire. To unlock this skill you will complete a Black Spirit quest. The skill has a long cast time and a cool-down of 90 seconds but has high damage and bonus damage which scales with your maximum mana. The skill has super armor and frontal guard and will also knock down targets and inflict stiffness and a burn damage debuff with no limit on the amount of targets.

Earthquake
[SHIFT] + [F]

This skill has damage with bonus damage scaling with your maximum mana. Damage is applied while you are casting and at the higher ranks you will be able to cast for longer. The skill has super armor and frontal guard and also bound and stiffness on good hits with no limit on the amount of targets. There is also a chance of down attack on this skill.

Blizzard
(HOLD SHIFT) + (HOLD LMB) + (HOLD RMB) > [LMB]

Start casting this skill by using Shift, Left-Click and Right-Click then press Left-Click again to fire. This skill extends from the Freezing skill so you will need the first rank of Freezing. This skill will drain your mana as you cast and will end when you move or run out of mana. It has forward guard when using the skill as well.

iconEquilibrium Break
[SHIFT] + [LMB]

This skill has forward guard when using the skill and inflicts stiffness and bound on good hits. There is also a chance of down attack on this skill. You can also use Flow: Gorr Launch with this skill at level 57 or higher to deal extra damage.

iconDetonative Flow
[W] + [F]

This skill inflicts floating on good hits and also a chance of air attack. You can also use this skill whilst it is on cooldown but it will reduce its damage and doesn’t have a chance of CC. It is a long range CC skill and if the skill is on your hotbar it will switch from your pre-awakening to awakening weapon instantly.

iconFissure Wave
[S] + [LMB] + [RMB]

This skill is your 100% Black Spirit Rage skill. This skill inflicts floating and knockback on good hits and also a chance of air attack and down smash. It will also debuff the targets with Attack/Casting Speed -10% for 10 sec on good hits. The skill has a low cooldown and also has Flow: Perfect Sign at level 56, which you can use by holding LMB and RMB after Fissure Wave to deal extra damage and stun on good hits. Whilst using the flow you also have super armor and a chance of down attack.

iconThunder Storm
[S] + [F]

This skill has super armor when using the skill and inflicts a stun on good hits. There is also a chance of down attack on this skill. You can also use Flow: Rage Tett with this skill at level 58 or higher to deal extra damage.

iconVoltaic Pulse
[SHIFT] + [F]

This skill is your 200% Black Spirit Rage skill. This skill hassuper armor when using the skill and inflicts bound on good hits and a Movement Speed -10% debuff on the target. There is also a chance of down attack on this skill and it will give you a Casting Speed +10% buff and MP Recovery. You can also use Flow: Voltaic Tett with this skill at level 60 or higher to deal extra damage.

iconYoke of Ordeal
[SHIFT] + [RMB]

This skill has forward guard when using the skill and inflicts  knockback on good hits. There is also a chance of down attack on this skill. You can also use Flow: Gorr Roll with this skill at level 59 or higher to deal extra damage.

iconToxic Flood
[E]

This skill can be cast on an area in front of you to place poison on the floor for 7.5 seconds. Anyone stood on on the poision will take 100 poison damage every 3 seconds for 36 seconds. This skill is great in node wars and siege and can also be cast through a barricade or wall.

SUPPORT

Mana Absorption
[SHIFT] + [LMB]

This skill will drain HP from your target and regen your mana. This should be your main mana sustain when leveling to 50.

Healing Aura
[E]

This skill restores a percentage of health along with mana/energy/rage. It is also cast-able on allies if you target them, but is a single target spell so you must choose either yourself or an ally. This skill has a cool-down of 10 seconds at maximum rank and does not cost mana to cast.
You can also use this skill from your hotbar whilst in awakening without switching back to your staff

Healing Lighthouse
[SHIFT] + [E]

This skill will greatly heal nearby allies 3 times when you cast it and has a cool-down of 30 seconds at maximum rank. You can be interupted whilst casting so make sure you aren’t vulnerable because this skill does not have any forward guard or super armor.

Resurrection
Skill Bar

This skill will resurrect a dead ally and you cast it by pressing CTRL then placing your mouse over the dead body and using Resurrection from your skill bar. The first rank of this skill is taken automatically and can be very useful in a node war. At first rank this skill will restore the allies health back to 50% and at maximum rank will restore the allies heath to 100%, but I personally don’t recommend putting points into this skill because you won’t use it that often and it uses a lot of skill points.

Magical Shield
[Q]

This skill gives you a self shield which at maximum rank will convert 40% of incoming damage to mana. It will also give you all resistances for 30 seconds. The cool-down of this skill is 1 minute so you should use it carefully before or during an engage.

Protected Area
[SHIFT] + [Q]

This skill will greatly increase your DP and the DP of allies around you. It will also increase resistances to all debuffs and CC excluding grabs. This is a very important skill in PVP and although the skill does not last long, it can completely change the outcome of a fight if timed well.  The skill has a long cool-down of 3 minutes so make sure you do not waste this skill!

Speed Spell
Skill Bar

This skill does not have a keybind so you will need to place it on your hotbar. This is a great support skill that will increase the attack speed, casting speed and movement speed of all nearby allies for 30 seconds.

SKILL COMBOS

The following skill combos are known as “secret combos”. These are not all of the combos. There are many others but these are the ones that have been posted before. Some people believe that “secret combos” should remain a secret to give the people that know them an edge over others. This is why we will only be posting combos that have already been shared elsewhere.

ABSOLUTE SKILLS

Below are the recommended Absolute Skills you should take:

Absolute: Blizzard  Requires level 59 (55 Skill Points)
Absolute: Meteor Shower – Requires level 60 (30 Skill Points)

Absolute: Blizzard and Absolute: Meteor Shower are highly recommended skills for Witch. Both of these Absolute Skills highly increase the damage of the skills, as well as reducing the cooldown of Meteor Shower to 30 seconds from 1 minute 30. Absolute: Blizzard duration is also increased. These two skills are particularly useful in large scale fights because of their large AOE damage and CC.
You should prioritize taking Blizzard then Meteor Shower before anything else.

Absolute: Earthquake – Requires level 56 (40 Skill Points)
Absolute: Freeze
Requires level 58 (40 Skill Points)
Absolute: Frigid Fog – Requires level 56 (27 Skill Points)

Absolute: Freeze, Absolute: Frigid Fog and Absolute: Earthquake are advised but not as important. Absolute: Earthquake is used to chain your super armor and the Absolute Skill increases the duration of the skill as well as reducing it’s cooldown. You can also take Absoulte: Freeze and Figid Fog which are particularly useful in 1v1 situations, but for this you will need around 1700/1800+ Skill Points.

Optional Absolute Skills:

Absolute: Lightning – Requires level 56 (35 Skill Points)

These Absolute Skills are more optional and totally depends on preference. Absolute: Lightning is your 100% Black Spirit Rage skill and deals the most damage out of all the skills and also stuns targets. However, it does leave you quick unprotected because it only has a Forward Guard. You won’t really be using it unless you have 100% Black Spirit Rage.

WEAPONS/ARMOR

The best weapons in the game are currently dropped from World Bosses.
For more information on this click here to view our World Bosses guide.

Primary Weapons:

icon Rosar Staff
The Rosar Staff is what you should be aiming for to level your character. You should enhance it to at least +7 for leveling and then PRI or higher as soon as possible if you don’t have Liverto/Kzarka. Aim to buy a +15 Rosar Staff if you can to save your enhancing resources. Ideally you will want to buy or make it ultimate (yellow) to close the AP difference as well. Make sure you also make use of the gem slots to get your Casting Speed and Critical Hit up to 5.

Another alternative is the Styd Staff for leveling if you are having trouble obtaining a Rosar Staff. This weapon can be bought from a Blacksmith and will give you 18 – 22 AP as well as a lot of accuracy.

icon Liverto Staff
Liverto is the second strongest mainhand and much easier to obtain and enhance than Kzarka. If you have enough silver to buy it at +15 or higher then you should to save enhancing materials. You will want to upgrade it to PRI or higher as soon as possible. I would recommend getting it to TRI at most and then you really want to switch to Kzarka. The liverto has slightly more AP than Yuria, but it also has a Critical Hit Rate +3 item effect.

icon Kzarka Staff
Kzarka is the BiS main weapon for all classes for PVP and is a requirement for end game PVP. It has the same AP as Liverto but more accuracy and an Attack Speed +3 item effect.

Offhand Weapons:

icon Steel Dagger
The Steel Dagger is currently considered the best offhand for largescale PVP if you don’t have nouver yet. It is a good selection for PVE as well if you don’t have kutum. You should enhance it to at least +7 for leveling and then PRI or higher as soon as possible. Aim to buy a +15 if you can to save your enhancing resources. Ideally you will want to buy or make it ultimate (yellow) as well.

icon Bronze Dagger

Bronze Dagger is your accuracy offhand. Witches passively have a lot of accuracy so you shouldn’t need this offhand unless you don’t have bheg’s yet and you are a low level fighting much higher levels or high evasion targets.

iconParrying Dagger

Parrying Dagger is your evasion offhand. Evasion/DR builds are completely viable on Witch and if you choose to go for this kind of playstyle then Parrying Dagger is what you will be using. I would also recommend investing in a Parrying Dagger for 1v1 PVP because the extra evasion could save you from getting grabbed and dying.

icon Kutum Dagger
Kutum Dagger gives a mixture of AP and DP with added monster damage and accuracy. It also has an item effect of 10% ignore resistance and 2 gem slots. The monster damage and accuracy on this weapon undeniably make it best in slot for PVE.

icon Nouver Dagger
Nouver Dagger is considered the best in slot choice for Witches for large scale PVP if you are going with the full AP build. The weapon gives pure AP and an all resistance +10% item effect. Nouver deals more damage to non CC’d targets than Steel Dagger and also has an additional socket. If you are lacking the money to upgrade Nouver then Steel is a very good alternative for large scale PVP.

Awakening Weapons:

icon Pri Aad Sphera
This is a green grade weapon which is sold by some Blacksmith/Arms dealers. You will also receive a +10 Pri Aad Sphera when you complete your awakening quests. This weapon has lower AP than the other options but it is still viable for PvE due to it’s Damage Against Every Species +5 item effect. It’s also much cheaper to enhance and repair max durability than the other options so if you don’t have a lot of money or participate in a lot of PvP, then this weapon is a good alternative until you get Dandelion.

icon Alloria Aad Sphera
Alloria Aad Sphera is a blue grade weapon which is given to you when you complete the awakening quests. The only ways to obtain this weapon is through the quest or night vendor. This makes is hard to obtain and it can be more expensive to repair. The aad sphera is good for PvP and has higher AP than the Pri Aad Sphera. It also has a Damage Against Human +7 item effect which is good for PVP.

icon Dandelion Aad Sphera
Dandelion weapons are the BiS awakening weapons. It has much higher AP but it is only obtainable from a Dandelion Weapon Box (Karanda world boss loot) or from the night vendor.

Armor:

The best armor in the game is currently dropped from Bosses. You will want to aim to get the boots and gloves first.

icon Griffon’s Helmet (helmet)   – dropped from Griffons in Kamaslyvia.
icon Dim Tree Spirit’s Armor (chest) – dropped from Dim Tree Spirit.
icon Bheg’s Gloves (gloves) – dropped from Bheg.
icon Urugon’s Shoes (shoes)   – dropped from Monastery Leader.

icon Giath’s Helmet (helmet)   alternative choice – dropped from Giath.
icon Muskan’s Shoes (shoes) alternative choice  – dropped from Monastery Leader.

The full set will give you Maximum MP/WP/SP +100, Maximum HP +300, Max Stamina +200, Accuracy +1 (increases with enhancement), Evasion +1 (increases with enhancement), Attack Speed +1, Casting Speed +1
In the mean time you should be using one of the following armor sets:

A popular armor choice for Witch is to go full Grunil set because it increases your maximum HP and will give you 2 socket slots on each piece, along with extra AP +7 set bonus. Another advantage of using this set is that it is viable on any class, allowing you to swap to another class easily.

Full Heve set is also a very popular choice because it has an easier transition to boss gear whilst. As soon as you get one boss item with Grunil, you lose the set bonuses which Grunil weaker.

Another alternative is to use is the Lemoria set if you have Liverto. It is great for leveling because of its set bonuses and has slightly more DP than Grunil.

ACCESSORIES

There are a lot of choices available when it comes to accessories and it really depends on what you can get your hands on. The accessories you use at end game also relies heavily on all your other gear/build and also your target. Use BDOPLANNER.COM to help you build your gear.

Earrings:

If available I recommend using the Asula’s Crimon Eye Earrings (Asula Set) if you are new to the game, this gives you 7 AP and also has very good set bonuses. Otherwise use Bares earrings for 2 AP (or other AP accessories) and switch to Witch’s Earring as soon as possible for the 5 AP.

You want to aim for DUO/TRI Witch’s Earrings (9 AP/11 AP) before swapping to a DUO Tungrade Earrings (11 AP) because of the huge difference in cost. Tungrade Earrings are BiS earrings.

Red Coral Earrings are also good on Witch if you are lacking accuracy because they give a lot of accuracy and also have a bit of AP. I would only recommend using a max of x1 Red Coral Earring and only if the earring is DUO or higher. Then use a Tree Spirit Belt as well for the extra accuracy.

The Capotia Earring is also worth mentioning. It is available at level 62+ only but is a very good earring because of it’s high AP. It makes a perfect backup for enhancing and is essentially a free TRI Tungrad Earring.

Another viable option is the Manos Ruby Earrings if you would like to go for a DR/Evasion build.

Rings:
If available I recommend using the Asula’s Crimon Eye Ring (Asula Set) if you are new to the game, this gives you 7 AP and 2 DP as well as damage reduction and strong set bonuses. Otherwise use Bares rings for 2 AP (or other AP accessories) and switch to Mark of Shadow as soon as possible for the 5 AP.

Sahazad’s Ring of Monarch is also available through the Valencia part I and II quests. It can’t be enhanced but it is a good alternative until you can get Ring of Crescent Guardian or Mark of Shadow to PRI/DUO.

The Capotia Ring is also worth mentioning. It is available at level 61+ only but is a very good ring because of it’s high AP. It makes a perfect backup for enhancing and is essentially a free TRI Ring of Crescent Guardian.

Another viable option is the  Ring of Cadry Guardian if you would like to go for a DR/Evasion build.

Necklace:

If available I recommend using the Asula’s Crimon Eye Necklace (Asula Set) if you are new to the game, this gives you 11 AP and 3 DP as well as damage reduction and an amazing set bonus. Otherwise use Bares Necklace for 4 AP and enhance this to DUO/TRI for 8 AP/10 AP. Enhancing a Bares Necklace is much cheaper than using an un-enhanced BiS necklace. You then want to swap to a DUO Serap’s or PRI Ogre/Tungrade.

Another viable option is the Sicil’s Necklace if you would like to go for a DR/Evasion build.

Belt:

If available I recommend using the Asula’s Crimon Eye Belt (Asula Set) if you are new to the game, this gives you 6 AP and has amazing set bonuses. Otherwise use Bares Belt for 2 AP (or other AP accessories) and swap to Tree Spirit Belt, Belt of Shultz the Gladiator or Basilisk’s Belt as soon as possible for more AP.

You want to aim for a PRI/DUO Tree Spirit Belt before swapping to DUO Basilisk’s because it is much cheaper and easier to get hold of. Basilisk’s Belt and Valtarra are very good belts but Tungrade is currently the best in slot. You can also keep the Tree Spirit Belt if you need a little more accuracy and use a DUO Red Coral Earring with it then full AP accessories for the rest.

Another viable option is the Centaurus Belt if you would like to go for a DR/Evasion build.

EXAMPLE GEAR BUILDS

I highly recommend using BDOPLANNER.COM to help you plan your build and track your progression.

The build you choose completely depends on your playstyle and what role you want to play in PVP. Below are some example builds to help you decide what is best for you.

Leveling build: link
Here is what to aim for when leveling and before you get your boss gear. You should focus on enhancing your weapons first and then your armor. Try to also ultimate all your pieces as soon as possible, especially your armor because it will give quite a big DP boost.

Mid-Tier build: link
Here is a mid-tier build to use if you are looking to improve your gear before you get boss gear. You may want to use Red Coral Earrings or Witch’s Earrings instead but they can be quite expensive compared to the rest of the gear.

End-game PVP build [FULL AP]: link
Here is what to eventually aim for if you are going for a full AP damage build. It takes a long time to get to this stage, and there are lots of small improvements and other accessories you will use along the way, but this is ideally your end game build for PVP damage. You can also use one TRI Red Coral Earring and a Tree Spirit Belt for extra accuracy if you don’t have JIN crystals and lack a bit of accuracy.

This build is useful for small scale PVP and you can also use a Parrying Dagger for a bit of extra defenses in 1v1 situations. The build is also great for large scale PVP as a frontline damage dealer. Your aim is to use your Protective Area and other buffs then drop as much damage as you can onto the enemy.

End-game PVP build [FULL EVASION]: link
Here is what to eventually aim for if you are going for a full DP build. It takes a long time to get to this stage, and I would recommend starting with the AP for PVE then getting Centaurus Belt, Sicil’s Necklace, and finally Manos Earrings last. If you want a bit more AP with this build you can also swap the Manos Earrings for Tungrad Earrings [LINK].

This build is full defense and only really good for large scale PVP where you are at the backline focusing on heals, buffs and CCing the enemy. You will be lacking some damage but will be able to survive longer. Although this build is viable on witch, I think that the full AP/Accuracy builds are more useful and you should proiritize the AP build before getting the gear for the evasion build.

End-game PVE build: link
Here is what to aim for high level PVE, such as Pila Ku, Gyfin or Aakman. Kutum is very important for end game PVE.

CONSUMABLES

When grinding, use EXP Elixirs and Milk Tea, then other food of your choice such as Margoria Seafood and Serendia Special. It really depends on your preference and your crystals/stats.

For your food rotation in node wars/siege, I would recommend using  Knight Combat RationsValencia Special, Kamaslyvia Meal and King of Jungle Hamburger and in that order. You will need to also use Elixir of Shock so that you have 5 crit. If you can’t do this then you will need to use Margoria Seafood instead of Kamaslyvia Meal. You may also want to use the Special Valencia Meal and Special Kamaslyvia Meal so that it lasts 120 minutes.

The recipes for these are:

ICON RESULT INGREDIENTS USE
Knight Combat Rations Dark Pudding x1, Ham Sandwich x1, Fruit Wine x1, Meat Croquette x1 All Attack +5, Damage against human race +5, All Damage Reduction +5 for 120 minutes

can’t open leveling build & mid tier build

  • Apr 9, 2016 @ 10:10 am

I see at every class the same kind of accessoires, at least at those i play. I started myself with a sorceress, then also made a valkyrie, ranger, tamer and just recently a witch. But they all share here the banes accessoires. Now i know that this is more or less a rough example and you should built your own build. But what i actually miss are stats; what are the real strenght and weaknesses of each class and where do they rely the most on. For example: i would assume that a ranger would rely on accuracy, while a sorceress and a witch rely on casting speed and also make use of a big mana pole.

  • Mar 3, 2016 @ 13:53 pm

    Fixed! Sorry about the mistake.

  • Mar 3, 2016 @ 6:50 am

I think the Pros & Cons section is wrong. It’s identical to the Ranger class guide page, and doesn’t really apply to the Witch.
