Berserker Class Guide

Berserker Class Guide

Remember that class guides are a rough explanation of the class, designed to give you an idea of the class and what you should be aiming for. You should really adapt the guide and follow your own instincts to match your play-style! This guide also uses items from the Media patch and some items will not be in-game at EU/NA launch.

The Berserker class is a melee tanky/bruiser class from the “Giant” race. They are a very chaotic and fun class to play with a unique play style due to their size. Berserkers can wildly stomp, grab and throw enemies with ease. Then when they are finished playing, deal some real damage. Their main weapon is duel handed axes and their secondary weapon is an ornament knot. Most skills use “Fury” but you can use mana pots just like any other class.

This tanky class is often found in the front line of PvP. They don’t have a lot of mobility, causing issues in solo PvP. They only have a few short range gap closers, but their endless amount of crowd control makes it almost impossible for anyone to escape your grasp. The class is one of the easiest to play, and whilst not taking much to master, it is definitely a fun and chaotic play style.

Check out the video below to see some examples of character creation and combat.

  • Easy to play
  • Great at PvE
  • Good in group PvP
  • Highly desired for group PvP
  • Lots of AoE
  • Lots of crowd control
  • Unique/Fun to play

  • Not challenging to master
  • Weaker in 1v1 PvP
  • Can become boring/repetitive

The build below is a well-rounded build for players who are level 54 or higher. It uses a total of 765 Skill Points and includes some support skills to give you some sustain.  Click here to view the build.

The names of skills in this build are taken from the EU/NA version and may differ from the skill calculator above.

  • Keys in square brackets [] mean that you tap the key. For example, [Q] means you tap Q once.
  • Keys in round brackets () mean that you hold the key. For example, (HOLD Q) means you hold Q until the next step. (PERMAHOLD Q) means you hold Q throughout the combo.
  • Keys separated by a “+” symbol should be used at the same time. For example, [Q] + [LMB] means you tap Q and LMB at the same time.
  • Keys separated by a “>” symbol show the order you should follow out the steps. For example, [Q] + [LMB] > [F] means you tap Q and LMB at the same time, then tap F
  • [LMB] refers to left-clicking with your mouse, [RMB] refers to right-clicking with your mouse.

Elastic Force

This is your auto attack skill. As you rank it up you will deal more damage, gain accuracy and range. The longer you attack, the more damage you will deal with each hit. Holding W as you attack will move you forward and deal more damage at the cost of stamina. You can also strafe left and right as you swing, if if you hold A or D. The Berserker class is one of the only classes where your auto attack is actually good to rank up.

[SHIFT] + [A] OR [D]

This is your dodge. The Berserker class has the shortest ranged dodge out of all of the classes. You can only strafe diagonally to the left or right. You cannot dodge backwards, limiting the class and forcing you to fight head on.

Shake Off
[RMB] + [A] OR [D]

Shake Off is very similar to your Evasion skill but will cost more stamina. Instead you will deal damage to all enemies you pass through.

Seizing Fear

This is your passive. You should be maxing this skill as soon as possible because it will increase your critical chance.

Grabs are excellent in PvP and it is vital to know how to use them effectively. However, in PvE most monsters can’t be grabbed.

Smack Down

This skill is one of your two grab skills. Grab an enemy and to smash to ground to knock them down temporarily. Using this skill will also give you a short armor buff so it’s great for rushing into battle and grabbing a vulnerable target. At higher ranks you can smash your target to the ground multiple times. You will also gain more armor. Combos with the following two skills.

Corpse Storm

Using this skill after you have grabbed an enemy will spin the target around before smashing them to the ground.

Using this skill after you have grabbed an enemy will cause you to jump in the air before smashing your target to the ground.

Rock Smash
Skill Bar

This skill is your other grab skill. It doesn’t have a key combo so you will need to put it on your skill bar/quick-slot. Your target will be held in the air while you make your decision of what to do next. You can press W to run with your target, press SPACE to hard smash your victim, or press Left-Click to cancel and instantly slam them to the ground. If you don’t make a decision fast enough the target will be slammed to the ground automatically. Using this skill will also give you a short armor buff so it’s great for rushing into battle and grabbing a vulnerable target.

Storming Beast

This is your kick. It will knock back up to 5 enemies and deal high damage. You can spam the skill to stomp forward or combo it with many other skills.

[RMB] + [W]

This is your headbutt. It will lunge you forward head first into your enemy, knocking them down and dealing a decent amount of damage. You can combo it with Evasion or hold SHIFT to charge it and deal more damage. The skill has a long cool-down but can be ignored to deal less damage, and will not knock down enemies.

Tackling Rock
[W] + [F]

This skill is similar to Headbutt but instead will charge and slow up to 2 targets by 30% for 5 seconds at max rank. If you fully charge the skill it will knock back enemies as well.

Predatory Hunt
[S] + [F]

This skill will cause you to jump toward your enemy. With each rank it will increase the number of times you can jump in a row, up to a maximum of 4 at max rank. Each rank will also give you extra damage and at max rank a critical chance buff for 10 seconds, if you hit a target.

Frenzied Destroyer
[LMB] + [S]

This skill will charge your auto attack. It does use more fury but you can also press both Left-Click and Right-Click to double slash. At higher ranks you will be given a damage buff and the skill will pull enemies towards you. It also extends into another combo where if you hold SHIFT as well, you will knock down enemies.

Fearsome Tyrant
[SHIFT] + [Q]

This is your 100% Black Spirit Rage skill. It is an AoE taunt which can be used in PvE. It will also give you an armor buff. The skill has a long cool-down which cannot be ignored so make sure you use the skill wisely.

Raging Thunder
[LMB] + [RMB]

This is your 200% Black Spirit Rage skill. The skill is also known “Spin2Win”. Holding both Left-Click and Right-Click at the same time will spin you around much like Garen from League of Legends. You can move as you spin using W/A/S/D. The cool-down cannot be ignored but the cast time is quite long so can pretty much spam this skill. It’s a great skill for PvE, perhaps even making things just a little too easy.

The best weapons in the game are currently dropped from World Bosses.
For more information on this click here to view our World Bosses guide.

For your primary weapon, the Liverto is without a doubt the best weapon you can get that isn’t bound. You will want to upgrade it to +15 or higher as soon as possible. If you don’t have the budget for this weapon then the Yuria weapon is what you should be using in the mean time while you save up enough silver for Liverto.

For your off-hand, Krea or Saiyer Ornamental Knot are good choices for Berserker.

The best armor in the game is currently dropped from Bosses.
Giath’s Helmet (helmet) – dropped from Giath.
Red Nose (chest) – dropped from the Red Nose and Contaminated Imp Captian.
Bheg’s Gloves (gloves) – dropped from Bheg.
Muskan’s Shoes (shoes) – dropped from Monastery Leader.
The full set will give you HP Recovery +100, Maximum MP/WP/SP +100, Maximum HP +100, Accuracy +1, Evasion +1, Attack Speed +1, Casting Speed +1
In the mean time you should be using one of the following armor sets:

The one of most popular armor choices for Berserker is the Grunil set. It increases your maximum HP and will give you 2 socket slots on each piece, along with extra AP if you have the full set. Another advantage of using this set is that it is viable on any class, allowing you to swap to another class easily.

Another alternative set, is the Taritas set. This set is great for Berserkers because it gives some stamina and +5 Accuracy, along with high defense. However, it can be quite heavy.

Finally, the Rocaba set. This set is my personal favourte because it has similar stats but is much lighter. I’d recommend this set over the others if it’s available on your version.

These are the best accessories in the game. They do cost a significant amount of silver.

These are an example of the best sockets for your class. They do cost a significant amount of silver.

Red Battlefield Crystal – Carmae x2

Usually people will tell you to awaken skills that you use often. This skill builder will show you all the possible skill awakenings for each skill and can be useful. It is in Russian however, so you will need to translate it with Google.
