Introduction
The Weekly Fishing Contest is a fishing contest that runs from Monday 00:20 UTC to Saturday 00:00 UTC. The goal is to catch the largest fish from the selected fish species. At the end of the week, the results are finalised and rewards are sent to players based on their ranking.

How to open the Contest Rankings
To open the Weekly Fishing Contest Ranking UI, press ESC to go to the Menu, select the Life category (F6), and then Fish Guide (1).
Once the Fish Guide is open, click the Weekly Fishing Contest graphic to open the Rankings page.
Rewards
Rewards for the top 300 ranked players are sent each week and can be collected in the Weekly Fishing Contest UI window. The rankings are seperate for each fish, so it is possible to earn up to 3 boxes each week.
- Rewards are distributed every Sunday after 00:20 (UTC).
- You must claim your rewards before the next contest begins, otherwise they will be forfeited.

Tidal Tokens Exchange
Fishers who achieve the ranks of 1st to 3rd in the contest will acquire 
“Tidal Tokens” that can be exchanged via the Manage Currency UI for the following items.

Advice and Gear for Fishers
If you are interested in taking part in the Weekly Fishing Contest, I would recommend using the BDOlytics Map
The map is a great tool for fishers since you can search fish species names and find the locations they can be caught.
When it comes to gear, there are a few different options you can go with depending on which grade of fish you are looking to catch. For example, if you are looking to catch the largest blue grade fish, you will want to use the Calpheon Fishing Rod, Ash Float, and the Whaling Lightstone combo, since these increase your chance of catching a high-quality (blue grade) fish. Whenever you see “High-quality” or “Big Fish” on fishing gear, it means the chance of capturing a blue-grade fish.
If you are looking to catch a Rare (yellow-grade) fish, you need to use the Mediah Fishing Rod, Maple Float, and Sharp-eyed Seagull combo instead.
For the Prize Fish (red rarity fish species), you will need Fishing Mastery. The only way to increase the drop chance % of Prize Fish is to increase your fishing mastery. The goal is to have a much fishing mastery as possible.
