Transfer Schedule

As previously announced at the Calphe:ON Ball in December 2020, Pearl Abyss will be self-publishing EU/NA PC servers when Kakao Games’ contract ends on 24th February 2021. This means that character data must be transfered from Kakao Games to Pearl Abyss and is an opt-in process. If you do not agree to transfer your account by May 31st 2021 your game data will not be transferred and will be deleted/unrecoverable!

Starting today, players are able to begin the transfer to ensure their character data is saved.

Termination of sale of Gift Packages.

February 10, 2021

Termination of sale of Black Desert Online Game Packages, Kakao Cash and in-game Pearl Boxes.

How do I transfer my account?

Step 1:
Go to the NEW Black Desert website hosted by Pearl Abyss: https://www.naeu.playblackdesert.com/en-us/Event/NewAdventureTransfer

Step 2: Create an account on the Pearl Abyss website and verify your email address (you may need to check your junk folder).

Step 3: Go to the following link: https://www.blackdesertonline.com/transfer and log in to your Kakao Games account

Step 4: Make sure you are logged into both accounts and click the “Next” button. Agree to the terms and conditions.


Step 5: You will now be able to view your characters and verify the transfer process. A confirmation code will be sent to your email registered with your Kakao Games account. Enter the confirmation code to complete the transfer.

Step 6: Click the “Check Status” button to comfirm your transfer. An email will also be sent to confirm.

Step 7: Share the news on social media to enter the event and have a chance of earning extra rewards (details here). All other pre-registation rewards will be available on your account if you signed up before 24th February. Check the reward section below for more information.


Known issues:

  • The Pearl Abyss website is currently under a lot of stress due to a large amount of traffic, this is causing issues with 404 errors on certain pages or other timeout errors. There are also issues with signing up at the moment or receiving verfication emails. This is expected to improve over time and the Web team is looking into the issues. (Verification issues have been fiex according to the offical discord).
  • Characters may be displaying in the incorrect region when signing up for the service transfer. Pearl Abyss have stated on their official discord that this is a visual display issue and not a data issue.
  • There may be issues with the client closing unexpectedly after you have pre-registered. If you are experiencing this issue, try changing character or channel after logging in for the first time. In addition to this, adventurers who have this problem may not see the AP/DP buff added to their UI and may not receive their login rewards. Pearl Abyss announced on their official discord that the AP/DP buff is applied but not shown properly in the UI and that login rewards will be mailed to adventurers in a future maintenance to compensate.

 

What about Steam Users?

Steam users must agree to the transfer of game data. To do this, go to the Pearl Abyss website here: https://www.naeu.playblackdesert.com/en-us/Event/NewAdventureTransfer

Choose the Steam account option then log into your steam account to agree to the transfer. You do not need to create a new Pearl Abyss account.

Unfortunately, transferring from Steam to a web-based account is not possible. Accounts created on the Steam platform shall continue to play via Steam only


What are the transfer rewards?


All players who complete the transfer before 24th February will receive special rewards on their account.

  • Reward: Temporary AP + 1 and DP +1 buff applied to your family (until Feb 27th)
  • Time: Must pre-register for the transfer between January 27, 2021 (Wed) after maintenance ~ February 24, 2021 (Wed) before maintenance

 

  • Reward: Daily log-in rewards (until Feb 24th)
  • Time: Must pre-register for the transfer between January 27, 2021 (Wed) after maintenance ~ February 24, 2021 (Wed) before maintenance. Sign up as late as 11th Feb to ensure you get all the daily log-in rewards

  • Reward: [Event] Shining Shakatu’s Seal x30 (sent via in-game mail (B) on 24th Feb after maintenance).
  • Time: Must pre-register for the transfer between January 27, 2021 (Wed) after maintenance ~ February 24, 2021 (Wed) before maintenance.

All players who complete the transfer before 31st May 2021 will also receive the following rewards once logging in after 24th Feb:

 

  • Reward:  Daily Login rewards (begins after 24th Feb)
  • Time: Must register for the transfer between January 27, 2021 (Wed) after maintenance ~ May 31, 2021 (Mon) 23:59 (UTC).

  • Reward:  530% Combat & Skill EXP Scrolls x53 (available from the Loyalty tab in the Pearl Store, for 1 Loyalty per scroll)
  • Time: Must register for the transfer between January 27, 2021 (Wed) after maintenance ~ May 31, 2021 (Mon) 23:59 (UTC).
