On December 10th (Friday), the regular maintenance of Global Lab was not carried out due to internal schedules.

However, for adventurers who are curious about the changes, these notes are to share what is currently being prepared at the Global Lab.

The following patch will be updated sequentially, starting with the Korean official server on December 15th (Wednesday).
Regular maintenance on Global Lab will continue on December 17th (Friday), and additional patch notes will be avaiable then.

 

Class Reboots

As we announced to all adventurers, the reboot patch for 17 characters will be applied to the official server starting in Korea on December 15th. Thank you once again to all adventurers who actively participated in the test through the Black Desert Lab and gave various opinions. Today, along with some character improvements, large and small bugs have been fixed, and we are going through the final verification phase for application to the official server. However, skills that were not applied today but have unintentionally too strong PvP damage (Maehwa: Frost, Tip of the Iceberg / Giant: Howl, Flow Burst Cannon, Flow Cannon, etc.) may be adjusted during the official server update.

In addition, new basic appearances and hairstyles have been added for Giant, Geumsurang, Wizard, Witch, Dark Knight, and Ran. Please note that these appearances will also be reflected in the December 15th patch. We will do our best until the end so that there is no problem until the official server is applied. thank you.

New default faces and hairs added

  • The appearance (customization) of the representative characters of the Berserker, Tamer, Wizard, Witch, Dark Knight, and Lahn classes has been improved as follows.
    • One new face type and one hair type each have been added.
    • The default costume and portrait in the character creation window have been changed.
    • New customization is applied to the basic appearance when creating a character, and in the case of an already created character, changing the appearance through the Beauty (F4) function is applied.
    • * Existing face types and hairstyles will continue to be selectable in the future.

All Classes

  • The movement/attack/cast speed increase/decrease values ​​that can be applied to a character at once have been changed to apply upper/lower limits. (The character’s default speed is assumed to be 100%.)
    • Movement/attack/cast speed values ​​increased by buffs, potential stages, and specializations have been changed so that up to 150% of the total can be acquired additionally.
    • * Therefore, the maximum value of a character’s movement/attack/cast speed is 250%.
    • Movement/attack/cast speed reduced due to the debuff effect has been changed to only apply up to 50% of the total.
    • * Therefore, the minimum value of a character’s movement/attack/cast speed is 50%.
    • * Accordingly, even if you receive a movement/attack/cast speed reduction effect that exceeds 50%, the effect is only applied up to 50%.
E.g,
If a character receives an 80% movement speed reduction effect at 160% movement speed,
The movement speed reduction effect is only applied by 50%, resulting in a state of 110% movement speed. (The 30% reduction effect in excess of 50% does not apply.)

When receiving an 80% reduction in movement speed while the character’s basic movement speed is 100%,
Also, only 50% of the movement speed reduction effect is applied, and you will be in the state of 50% movement speed. (The 30% reduction effect in excess of 50% does not apply.)

Warrior

  • When the Jump Slash skill is activated after using the Prime: Spinning Slash skill, it has been changed to allow an attack in the direction the camera is looking.

Sorceress

  • Shadow Riot skill has been removed.
     

Ranger

  • The cooldown time of the following skills has been changed.

With the improvement of Awakening Ranger, we were able to maintain the invincibility determination excessively through skill linkage (2 evasion explosion shots → wind walk → steppe wind → wind walk → wind leap dance → evasion explosion shot). This was judged to be a relatively good skill linkage, so we adjusted the cooldown of Evasive Explosive Shot and the cooldown of Steppe Wind.

 

 

Berserker

  • Falling Rock skill has been changed so that skill addon is not possible.
  • After a sprint attack, the Predatory Hunt skill that is activated when you press ↑ + space bar has been changed so that it no longer activates.
  • The cooldown of the Prime: Predatory Hunt skill has been changed from 20 seconds to 13 seconds.
  • The damage dispersion effect of Frenzied Destroyer, Prime: Frenzied Destroyer skill has been changed as follows.

Tamer

  • ←/→ + Fixed the issue where the Heilang: Scratch skill did not activate while jumping using the space bar.
  • The Prime: Roaring skill has been changed to be activated when you press Shift + C after using another skill.
  • The effect of recovering the health upon successful hitting of the Prime: Roaring skill has been changed from 10 recovery per hit to 20 recovery per hit.
  • The life recovery effect of Roaring I~Absolute skill has been changed to recover according to the number of hits, regardless of the number of objects hit.
    • As a result, the HP recovered upon successful hitting has been changed.
  • The description of the defense judgment of the Evasive Movement skill has been changed to match the actual effect.
 

Musa

  • When using the Stub Arrow skill, the first shot has been changed to fire the sidearm.
  • When the Succession: Rising Storm: Blaze skill is activated by the effect during the cooldown, the phenomenon in which the damage is not reduced has been corrected.
  • Fixed the issue where the damage was not reduced when using the Serene Mind effect during the cooldown of Prime: Gale I~III skills.
    • Also, the amount of damage applied when activated by the Serene Mind effect during the cooldown has been changed.
  • The phenomenon in which the damage of the skill was not applied when acquiring the skill Absolute: Gale while acquiring the skill Absolute: Gale and Prime: Gale II has been corrected.

Maehwa

  • When using the Stub Arrow skill, the first shot has been changed to fire the battlefield.
  • The cooldown of the Stub Arrow: Evasive Shot skill has been changed from 12 seconds to 8 seconds.
  • In the state of awakening weapons, it has been improved so that you can use the Evasive Movement skill.
As Maehwa’s reboot progressed, unlike musa, it has been changed so that you cannot use long-distance containment skills, including battles, in the awakened state. As a result, it became quite inconvenient to use Pyunjeon unlike before. It has been improved so that if the battlefield is loaded in advance, it can be fired immediately with the ‘flying battle: evasion’ skill.
  • Chaos: Red Moon I~Absolute’s additional guard damage has been removed, and Flow: Tip of an Iceberg has been added.
  • The effect of recovering the health of the successful attack of the Divider I~III skills has been deleted.
Danhong: In the case of the Gareum skill, you can quickly attack with a large number of hits, so you can easily recover your health. Considering the high damage of the skill, it was judged that it was too much to have the recovery of life together, so we deleted the recovery of life.
  • The front guard effect of the Reverse Scale skill has been deleted.
  • The front guard effect has been added to the ice pick skill.
    • Accordingly, the stun effect at 1 successful hit has been changed to only apply to monsters.
In the case of the counterattack skill, the status effect effect is more important than the front guard as a counterattack. On the other hand, the ice pick skill was an entry skill, and a defense decision was desperately needed. In order to match this part, we have moved the defense check of the Wrath to Ice Pick and adjusted the defense check to fit the role of the skill.
  • All defense increase effects of the Sleet Steps skill have been changed to attack speed increase effects.
  • Ice Pick skill’s attack speed increase effect has been changed to all defense increase effects.

Kunoichi, Ninja

  • When using the Floor Sweeping skill in succession, the speed of the skill movement has been increased.
  • Maintaining the Prime: Ninjutsu Commence buff, fixed the issue where the skill link speed slowed when linking the Shadow Step skill after using the Ghost Step skill.
  • The phenomenon in which the description of the skill slot available in the description of the Flow: Block Jump skill was duplicated has been corrected.

 

Kunoichi

  • The effect of pushing the opponent away (applied only to monsters) when a successful hit of the Lunatic Discus skill has been removed.
  • The description of the Half Moon Slash skill has been modified as follows to match the number of hits actually applied.

Although the damage was set to be high in proportion to the long movement, there were many opinions about changing the movement to a shorter one. Instead of changing the movement to one hit, we lowered the damage that was too high and increased the usability of other skills.

Wizard, Witch

  • Teleport, Ultimate: Teleport movement skill has been changed as follows.
    • Instead of consuming mental power when using a skill, it has been changed to consume 200 stamina.
Wizards/witches, which consume most of the mental power, have been changed to stamina consumption to improve the situation in which they cannot escape through space movement due to lack of mental strength while using various skills.
  • The super armor effect of the Prime: Frigid Fog: Control skill has been deleted and the freezing effect has been changed to be applied even during PvP.
Succession Wizard/Witch has high damage and a lot of defense rolls.
With the reboot, the current wave is given a super armor decision, and the combo leading to the current wave – cold fog has stability even though it has high damage, so the defense decision has been adjusted.
  • When using Resurrection I~III skills, the debuff effect has been changed so that the debuff effect is not applied.

Witch

  • Prime: Multiple Magic Arrows skill has been changed to be usable even on the cooldown.
    • However, during the cooldown, the critical strike rate effect of the skill is not applied.
  • Fixed the issue where the damage of Prime: Multiple Magic Arrows was low.
  • Fixed the issue where the down smash effect was not applied to Prime: Multiple Magic Arrows
  • Fixed the phenomenon that the down attack effect was applied to Prime: Multiple Magic Arrows

 

Dark Knight

  • The phenomenon in which the number of strikes applied during PvP was incorrectly indicated in the Flow: Airstrike skill has been corrected.
  • In the state of succession, the phenomenon that damage was not applied properly when using the skill Obsidian Ashes I~VI or Absolute: Obsidian Ashes, when using the Smoky Haze skill, has been fixed.
  • The description of Prime: Lunacy of Vedir III skill has been modified as follows to match the number of hits actually applied.

  • Fixed the issue where the bounds were applied in PvP situations when consuming the fighting spirit to activate the Flow: Rock Smash skill.

 

Mystic

  • After using Flash Step in the state of the main weapon: The phenomenon that the fighting spirit was consumed when the Flow: Prey Hunt skill was activated has been corrected.
  • Fixed the issue where some skills such as Prime: Sea Burial, Prime: Wave Orb did not activate when using Flash Step immediately after using the Flow: Prey Hunt skill in the main weapon state.
  • The stamina required for the Flow: Sea Burial skill has been changed from 200 to 0.
    • Stamina is not consumed when using this skill.

Lahn

  • When using the Stately Dignity skill, the effect effect has been improved so that it can be distinguished from the cooldown time.
  • After using 1 hit of the Prime: Pendulum Kick skill, it has been improved to enable linkage with the Prime: Cymbidium skill.
It is possible to link to the Prime: single-gyeonggu skill in the Jin: Collision Ball skill, but the link was not made in the Prime: Collar mass skill, so the part that was forcibly used as a Jin skill for linkage was improved.
  • The description of the control keys for Prime: Salp’uri Purge has been changed.

  • Taste it! It has been improved to apply skill addons to skills.
  • It has been improved to apply skill addons to Go Away skill.

Other Class Changes

Guardian

  • When Omua’s Objurgation skill is used on slanted terrain, the speed at which it falls to the ground has been changed naturally.
  • When using the Juggernaut, Sturdy Step, and Guard skills, when linking Avalanche Strike, Boulder Crush, and Prime: Savage Hack skills, the phenomenon in which the Juggernaut: Smite  skill was activated has been corrected.
  • It has been improved to smoothly connect to other skills after using Sturdy Step skill.
  • The link to some skills has been improved so that after the 1st and 2nd blows of Searing Fang occur naturally.
  • Improvements have been made so that the connection to the Glorious Advance skill flows naturally after using the Flow: Exhaust skill.

Hashashin

The Awakening of the Goddess was a character that showed a heavy action compared to the succession. However, compared to the previous succession, it was not as powerful as its slow counterpart. This time, it has been improved to further strengthen the characteristics of God’s Awakening and show its strength in a different area than that of tradition. We improved the snake trap skill that only awakening has, and powerfully changed slow skills such as trapping sand swamp and snake’s toe to keep the color of awakening and give you the fun of the messenger.
  • Constriction skill has been changed as follows.
    • When using the Constriction skill after using another skill, it has been improved so that it can be used immediately regardless of the hand holding the weapon.
    • * However, Aal’s Grace, Ensnaring Sands, Flow: Condemnation, and Flow: Voracity skills, which were previously impossible to activate, are excluded.

Sage

In the case of Sage, there was a downward adjustment to the Succession PvE performance. As we proceeded with the reboot, we upgraded the PvE performance of all characters to the higher standard, but, nevertheless, Succession Sage showed overwhelming performance. We ask for your understanding of the inevitably lowered adjustment for overall coordination. Succession Sage will continue to check the data even after the patch, and make detailed supplements if deemed necessary.

Main weapon, Succession

  • As the pet’s critical strike chance has been changed so that the summoner’s critical chance stat is applied as it is, the critical strike chance of the Realm of Anguish skill applied in PvE has been removed.

Corsair

Corsair Succession was able to inflict powerful damage while maintaining invincible defense by linking the skills of Mareka that transforms into a mermaid. The part with high damage despite being able to easily maintain invincibility has been adjusted as it is strong enough to be difficult for other characters to respond in large-scale battles. You can still inflict strong damage, but the invulnerability section has been shortened so that you can take the risk and inflict damage.

Main weapon, Succession

  • When using the following Mareka skills, the defense decision of the skill has been changed so that the invincibility effect is applied only when the Corsair is submerged in the water, and the Super Armor effect is applied in other situations.
    • Mareca: Jet Stream, Mareca: Whale Song, Mareca: Spiral Soak, Mareca: Spiral of Dreams, Mareca: Sea of Dreams
  • The cooldown of the Mareca: Sea of Dreams skill has been changed from 60 seconds to 45 seconds.

Item Changes

  • When Atoraxion: Kraten appears in Valmalkea, ‘Boiling Heart Piece’ and ‘[Elvia] Boiling Heart Piece’ items have a 100% chance to be acquired.

 

Conquest War, Node War

  • When installing annexes through remote installation mode, the phenomenon that the camera movement was not smooth after the installation was confirmed has been fixed.
  • The phenomenon in which the external appearance of the annex building was not exposed when constructing an annex that can be boarded such as a flame tower or a new battleground through remote installation mode has been fixed.
  • Fixed the issue where it might not be possible to build forts and annexes through remote installation mode in some terrain with high terrain.
  • When constructing an annex with two or more other guild members through remote installation mode, the phenomenon in which the annexes installed with each other were not displayed properly has been fixed.

 

UI Changes

  • ESC (new) menu – Settings (F10) – End game UI design of the Connection End menu has been changed to express a new character.

  • The icon representing the house used for the Workshop has been changed.
  • If there is no content to be displayed in the Challenge (Y) and Quest (O) windows, a text indicating this has been added to be displayed on the UI.

 

System and Bug Fixes

  • Performance optimization of the party UI is in progress.
  • The phenomenon that the background of a specific location in Trent village was unnaturally exposed has been corrected.
