Class Reboots

The class reboots will be released on the live servers once they are completed for all the classes.
Before using the skills of rebooted classes on the Black Desert Global Lab, please make sure to reset your character’s skills to minimize any possible issues.
Patch notes related to the class reboot on the Black Desert Global Lab will be translated to other languages and released afterward.

※ Some classes’ succession/awakening demonstration videos are being prepared. We will update the notice as soon as preparations are complete.

 

Through today’s update, the contents of the first reboot for 17 classes have been reflected. Thank you again to all adventurers who waited. Even while we are going through this development process, so many adventurers are looking at the reboot history and sending big and small opinions enthusiastically. Therefore, after this time today, we will focus on additional improvements based on your opinions, and we will continue to update these parts through the Black Desert Research Lab until the day of the official server update. thank you.

Berserker

Main weapon

  •  The following skills have been removed and changed to be applied as the basic effect of specific skills.

    • The knockback effect of the skill has been changed to apply only to monsters.
    • Knockback and movement speed reduction effects are not applied when using skills during cooldown.
    • The cooldown time of the skill is applied when activated while sprinting or Lava Piercer is in use, and the front guard effect has also been changed.
  • Beastly Wind Slash, Flow: Windstorm skills have been changed as follows.
    • The hit rate of the skill has been changed so that it does not apply. As a result, it will be changed to a skill that does not have a hit rate value
    • Air Attack has been added to the Flow: Windstorm skill.
    • It has been changed to make the last attack stronger once more when you learn Flow: Windstorm.
    • Skill damage has been adjusted.
  • Ultimate: Beastly Wind Slash skill has been deleted, and the Beastly Wind Slash skill has been changed so that it cannot be activated consecutively. 
  • Even if you activate the attack skill with a knee kick, it has been changed to hit the same number of objects as when using the skill normally. 
  • Fierce Strike skills have been changed as follows.
    • When using a skill while fighting spirit is lower than the required fighting spirit, it has been changed to recover 50 fighting spirit.
    • Improvements have been made so that you can move immediately after the 2nd hit and the last hit.
  • The Claw Scar skill has been changed as follows.
    • Changed from a skill that acquires stages I to V to a single stage skill.
    • The effect of inflicting bleeding damage to the target when using the skill has been removed, and the effect of reducing all defense by 20 has been added upon successful hit.
  • The following skills have been removed and changed to the basic effect of fierce attack skills.
    • Flow: Stone Bash
    • Flow: Predator’s Avarice
    • Flow: Unseen Force
  • Headbutt skill has been changed as follows.
    • The skill additional hit of the has been removed. As a result, the melee hit rate increase effect is applied when the first hit is successful.
    • When a strong headbutt is activated, it has been changed to be activated immediately without charging
  • Ultimate: Headbutt skill has been deleted. 
  • It has been improved so that the skill Ultimate: Frenzied Destroyer can be activated alone. 
  • The description of the skill Ultimate: Frenzied Destroyer has been changed in detail to match the actual effect. 
  • Wrath of Beast, the attack range of the fury of the beast has been increased.

Succession

The Legendary Giant has strengthened the concept of fighting ‘like a giant’ by turning itself into a beast. You can remain beast, deal heavy damage, continuously heal wounds, and relentlessly fight enemies.


  • Flow: Final Strike skill has been changed as follows.
    •  The skill name has been changed to Prime: Unstoppable Beast skill.
    • Changed from a passive skill to an active skill.
    • The method of giving additional effects from other skills when acquiring a skill has been changed to a method of obtaining a buff when using a skill.
    • When using the skill, the ‘Ferocious Feral’ effect is applied.
    • While the ‘Ferocious Feral’ effect persists, some skills activate the movement of the beast.
    • While the ‘Ferocious Feral’ effect lasts, 100 health is restored every 2 seconds for 20 seconds.
    • While the ‘Ferocious Feral’ effect lasts, the duration has been changed to reset when some skills are used.
    • If you use the skill again while the ‘Ferocious Feral’ effect is in effect, you get a 30% increase in critical strike chance for 10 seconds. 
    • The duration of the ‘Ferocious Feral’ effect has been changed from 10 seconds to 20 seconds.
  • Prime: Beast Form skill has been changed as follows
    • The skill description has been changed to match the actual effect.
    • It has been changed to obtain a stronger effect when using the skill while the ‘Ferocious Feral’ effect is in effect.
Prime: The ‘Raging Feral’ effect, which was an additional effect of the Ruler of Fear skill, can be used separately as a separate skill. In addition, ‘Raging Wildness’ was continuously maintained so that the state of the beast could be maintained without interruption. Here, when the ‘Beastization’ skill is used, it has been changed to enter into a more powerful beast state and continue the battle.
  • Prime: Beastly Wind Slash skill has been changed as follows.
    • As the Flow: Final Strike skill has been changed, the finishing blow effect has been deleted. The skill damage has been adjusted accordingly.
    •  The skill description has been changed to match the actual effect.
    •  All defense reduction effects have been changed to be applied in all hits.
    • All defense reduction effects have been changed from 15 to 20.
    •  The effect of reducing the number of hits during PvP has been removed.
    •  Changed so that the number of hits does not decrease when using skills during the cooldown.
    •  When using a skill during the cooldown, the opponent’s movement speed decrease, own movement speed increase, and the floating effect are not applied.
    •  The Float effect when a successful slam hit has been changed to be applied in PvP as well.
    •  Air smash effect has been removed.
  • Prime: Fierce Strike skills have been changed as follows.
    • All defense reduction effects have been removed upon successful hitting.
    • The attack range has been changed to also attack around the character.
    • When using a skill during the cooldown, the floating effect of the additional blow has been changed so that it does not apply.
    • After using the skill, the character movement or Prime: Devastation, Prime: Ancient Wave skill has been changed to link smoothly.
  • Prime: Rock Smash skill has been changed as follows.
    • The skill description has been changed to match the actual action.
    • The charging action has been deleted, and additional blows applied in case of collision have been added.
    • Changed so that the front guard effect is applied even when continuously activated.
    • It has been changed so that it does not consume stamina when continuously activated.
    • Knockback and movement speed reduction effects are not applied during the cooldown.
    • The cooldown time of the skill is applied when activated while sprinting or Lava Piercer is in use, and the front guard effect has also been changed.
    • The damage has been changed to decrease in PvP.
    • Counter attack has been removed and changed to air attack.
In Giant’s lore, the main skills that could be used were Prime: Frenzy Destroyer or Prime: Raging Thunderbolt. Here, the Prime: flying beast wind split skill and Prime: rock push skill have been renewed as skills that can be used in PvE.
  •  Prime: Predatory Hunt skills have been changed as follows.
    • The behavior of the skill has been changed.
    • The movement distance has been changed to increase when continuously activated.
    • As the Final Strike skill has been changed, the finishing blow effect has been deleted and the skill damage has been adjusted.
    • Changed to transform into a beast when using skills.
    • Beast Form and Feral effects have been removed from enhancement effects.
  • Prime: Fearsome Tyrant  skills have been changed as follows.
    • With the change of the Prime: Final Strike skill, the previously triggered finishing move has been changed to the basic effect of the Prime: Fearsome Tyrant skill. This also applies to Black Spirit: Fearsome Tyrant.
    • Changes have been made so that the ‘Raging Feral’ effect is not obtained when the skill ends.
    • The reduction in the number of PvP hits has been removed. PvP damage has been adjusted accordingly.
    • The movement speed reduction effect has been changed to apply to all hits of the skill.
  • Prime: Lava Piercer skill has been changed as follows.
    • The skill description has been changed to match the actual effect.
    • When the lava piercer skill is on cooldown, it has been improved so that you can use the Prime: lava piercer skill even when you press Shift + space bar.
    • Changed to take the movement of the beast in the state of Beast Form and running wild
  • Prime: Ancient Wave skill has been changed as follows.
    • The attack range that was applied differently for each distance has been unified to the widest range.
    • Charging has been removed. The damage of the skill has been adjusted accordingly.
    • Changed to take the movement of the beast in the state of Beast Form and running wild.

 

Awakening

Giant Awakening was focused on further increasing the Awakening skills available in PvE. Crying, Flow: Even if it’s not a hit or ground lift skill, it has been changed so that it can be effective even if you use a combo mainly with awakening skills using various skills in PvE.
  •  In the sprint start action: The Lava Piercer skill has been changed to be activated before the Flow: General Disarray skill.
  • Titan Step skills have been changed as follows.
    • Shift + F command has been changed so that the Titan Step skill is not activated.
    • It has been changed to be able to activate the sitting shot even after it is activated by the knee kick.
    • All defense reduction effects have been removed upon successful hitting.
  • Flame Buster skill has been changed as follows.
    • Skill activation method has been changed.
    • * It has been changed to cast a skill when right-clicking and fire with a left-click.
    • * If you fire with the left click, you can fire right away while casting.
    •  Charging hit has been removed. Accordingly, if you hold the right-click to collect, Flow: Ancient Power is activated.
  • Flow: Ancient Power skill has been changed as follows.
    • It has been changed so that it can be activated during the cooldown period.
    •  Cooldown changed from 13 seconds to 6 seconds.
    •  Skill damage has been adjusted.
    •  Changed so that stamina is consumed while collecting.
    •  If you are in Titan mode, right-click while holding the right-click in the Flame Buster skill and the Flow: Ancient Power skill will be activated immediately.
    •  When the skill Flow: Ancient Power is on cooldown, the knockdown, air smash, and down smash effects are not applied even when in Titan mode.
There was a part where the flame cannon skill fires faster when it is registered and used in the skill slot. Basically, we have changed the trigger structure of the Flame Iron Cannon skill to give more benefits to activation with the control key.
  • Devastation skill has been changed as follows.
    • Cooldown has IV been changed from 15 seconds to 10 seconds based on level .
    • The number of hits in all stages has been changed to be the same.
    • The effect of reducing the number of hits during PvP in the Tier IV of Devastation has been removed.
    • Improvements have been made to smoothly link with movement and other skills after the skill ends.
  • Titan Blow skill has been changed as follows.

    • The attack method of the skill has been changed from attacking around the character to attacking by firing a long-range projectile.
    • Skill activation speed has been increased.
    • The knockback effect upon successful hitting has been removed.
    • Charging action and effects have been removed. The skill damage has been adjusted accordingly.
    • As the charging was deleted, the front guard effect during gathering has been removed.
    • The effect of recovering health while using the skill has been removed.
    • Down smash effect has been added. 
    • Cooldown has been changed from 20 seconds to 7 seconds based on level IV.
    •  The skill addon level has been changed from level 3 to level 2.
    • Counter attack has been removed and changed to down attack.
    • Seismic Blast, Flame Buster , Flow: Ancient Power, Flow: Slugfest, Shake Off, and Titan Step skills have been changed to be linked from the second hit.
Colossus Strike skill has been renewed as a skill that can be used in PvE. In addition, it has been changed to be a long-distance skill so that it can be linked with the flame iron cannon skill.
  • Flow: Ancient Wave skill has been changed as follows.
    • Changed to independent damage skill. 
    • The skill has been changed to a skill that can be a skill addon
    •  The attack range that was different for each hit has been unified into the widest range. PvP damage has been adjusted accordingly.
    •  The effect that pushes the enemy upon successful hitting has been removed.
  • Giant Leap skill has been changed to a single skill, and Seismic Blast skill has been changed to a skill that can be acquired up to level III.
  • The bug that the stiffness effect applied while holding the Giant leap skill retreated was also applied in PvP has been fixed.
  • The Flow: Jump Sequence skill has been deleted and the Giant leap skill has been changed so that it can be activated twice in a row.
  • Core: Giant Leap skill has been deleted and Core: Seismic Blast skill has been added.
  • The PvP damage of the Seismic Blast skill has been reduced.
  • All defense reduction effects of Seismic Blast III have been changed from 15 to 20.
  • Flow: Split Shot skill has been changed as follows.
    • Changed to the flow skill of the Seismic Blast skill. The prior skill has changed accordingly.
    • Cooldown changed from 23 seconds to 8 seconds.
Instead of the giant leap skill, which is vague to use as the main skill, the ground cry skill has been changed to the main skill. In addition, we changed the flow: Split Cannon to the flow skill of the Ground Cry skill so that you can quickly inflict damage with the Ground Cry – Flow: Split Cannon linkage. Deleted Flow: The continuous leap skill will be replaced with a new skill.
  • Flow: Slugfest skill has been changed as follows.
    • The amount of fighting spirit recovered upon successful hitting has been increased.
    • Changed to enable skill specialization.
    • Skill damage has been adjusted.
    • Flow: Split Shot, Ground Lifting, Flow: General Disarray skills have been improved so that they can be linked smoothly.
  • Titan Blow, Flow: Slugfest, Devastation skill has been changed to activate the Ground Lifting skill quickly when linking with the Ground Lifting skill.

Ninja/Kunoichi

  •  The defense judgment effect of the Ghost Step skill has been changed as follows.

  • The sense of speed of the movement associated with successful Suicide Fall skill has been improved.
  • Ninjutsu: Block Jump skill has been reorganized as follows.
    • When using the skill, a total of 3 clones are summoned in front in the shape of an equilateral triangle. 
    • The existing ←/→ linkage attacks, which were triggered when linking back and forth, have disappeared, and a function has been added to move to the location of each clone when you press the ←/→ arrow key during a split clone.
    • If you move to the location of the clone by pressing the ←/→ arrow keys once, you cannot move behind the enemy again, but you can link to other general skills.

  • Floor Sweeping and Throwing Kick skills have been changed so that they can be used as skill slots.
  • Shadow Clone buff that is maintained when using Ninjutsu: Shadow Stomp has disappeared, and the operation keys and activation conditions for Shadow Clone skill have been added/changed as follows.

  • Ninjutsu: Shadow Clone I~III, Absolute: Shadow Clone cooldown has been changed from 18/16/14/13 seconds to 15/13/12/10 seconds.
    • The attack behavior of the Shadow Clone skill has been changed to be more natural than before, and the linkage speed to other skills has been increased after using the skill.
    • As the attack behavior of the Shadow Clone skill has been changed, the attack range of the skill has been changed from the conventional forward attack to a circular attack around the character.
    • The link activation speed of the Shadow Stomp skill has been increased after using the Shadow Clone skill.
    • The effect of increasing the critical strike chance of the Shadow Clone skill has been changed so that it can be applied to other non-adventurers as well.
  • When using the space bar after using the Shadow Stomp skill, the Smokescreen skill has been changed.
    • The link speed of the Smokescreen skill that is activated by linking with the space bar after using a specific skill has been increased.
    • The timing at which the Smokescreen skill is applied has been changed to match the actual attack action, and the linkage speed to other skills has been increased.
  • Fixed the issue where, when Shift + Left-click was input while sprinting, the Ghost Greeting skill was activated first, not the Ankle Cutter skill.
  • The phenomenon in which the Ghost Greeting skill did not activate even when left-clicking while sprinting has been fixed under certain circumstances
  • The linkage speed of the Shadow Stomp skill has been increased after using the Fatal Blow, Flow: Fatal Blow Combo, Fatal Blow, and Heart Aiming skills. 
  • The phenomenon in which stamina recovery was not applied while using the Flow: Fatal Blow Combo, Fatal Blow, and Heart Aiming skills has been changed to allow recovery. 
  • The cooldown of the skill Absolute: Heart Aiming has been changed from 27 seconds to 20 seconds.
  • Heart Aiming skill has been changed so that it can be used even during the cooldown.
  • While using the Shadow Slash skill, the key for connecting to the Heart Aiming and Smokescreen skills have been changed as follows.

  •  After using the Smokescreen skill by pressing the space bar after using a specific skill: When entering Ninjutsu: Concealment, the phenomenon where the Heart Aiming skill is automatically activated while holding the space bar has been fixed.
    • When entering the stealth state through this operation, you have to re-enter the space bar to activate the Heart Aiming skill.
  • When using the space bar while using the Ghost Step skill, it has been changed so that it can be linked to the Smokescreen I~V skill. 
  • Brace skills have been changed to be activated only by skill slots.
  • It has been improved to maintain the sprint state by holding down the arrow keys or the Shift key after using Ghost Step with the buff effect of Target Chase skill applied.
  • The sprint motion has been improved so that when you hold the arrow keys or the Shift key after using Ghost Step, the sprint motion is linked naturally.
  • The movement when using the Floor Sweeping skill continuously has been changed so that it is connected naturally.
  • When using Kunai Throw and Shuriken Throw skills in the air, the attack range has been changed to increase. However, in the case of Succession Kunoichi, the range where the stiffening effect is applied is the same as before.
  • A skill lock function has been added to the Kunai Throw and Shuriken Throw skills.
  • The jump distance of the Ninja Evasion I~III skills has been increased.

Ninja

Ninja Awakening was focused on reducing the reliance on certain skills in combat. In addition, improvements have been made so that the transition from the main weapon state to the awakening state can be made more freely.

Awakening

  • It has been improved to use the skill Murderous Intent as a skill slot in the state of the short sword.
By enabling the skill of the flashing flesh to be used as a short sword state skill slot, it has been improved to be able to freely switch to the main weapon – awakening state than when hunting or fighting with a player.
  • Flow: Mach Explosion skill has been changed as follows.
    • The cooldown of the skill has been changed from 17 seconds to 12 seconds.
    • The attack range of the Flow: Mach Explosion skill has been adjusted, and 3 hits have been added to the blade strike.
Flow: The speed of sound has been improved to reduce the difference in damage between the first hit and the additional blow, and to ensure that the damage goes in evenly.
  •  It has been changed to maintain the awakening state when blocking in awakening state.
  • The attack range of the Vacuum Slash skill has been adjusted.

  • Sudden Decapitation attack range has been increased.
  • The attack range of the Flow: Execution skill has been adjusted.
  • Sura ChaoSpree skill has been changed as follows.
    • Down attack has been added to the skill.
    • Skill cooldown has been changed from 25 seconds to 15 seconds.
  • Flow: Block Jump skill has been changed as follows.
    • When using the skill, a total of 3 clones are summoned in front in the shape of an equilateral triangle.
    • If you move to the location of the clone by pressing the ←/→ arrow keys once, you cannot move behind the enemy again, but you can link to other general skills.

Kunoichi

The most important improvement direction we considered in this Kunoichi reboot across succession and awakening is improvement centered on ‘utility’ and ‘convenience’. Ninjutsu, which can be said to be the main skill in transmission and awakening, has been improved so that each of the core skills can be used in more diverse ways by giving additional commands to skills such as splitting wood, cutting tendons, and moonshine. However, we would like to inform you that the contents of today’s reorganized skills may be subject to some changes when adjusting the balance before the Black Desert Live server update.
In the case of Succession, overall, we focused on reducing the difficulty of the character and improved it. Representatively, regarding the method of using the ear, soul, and spirit ninjutsu buffs that are passive in the current lore, the ninjutsu buffs are also activated in other skills of the lore so that they can be used regardless of specific skills than before. Tendon cutting, Prime: We have strengthened the utility aspect of the one island skill, and changed the operation of the shadow branch skill to make it more versatile than before.
In the case of Awakening, we have added a buff effect in the half-moon cut and half-moon cut skills, so that it can show a stronger aspect than before in PvE situations. In addition, key link skills in Awakening, such as flow: peak, and raining moonlight, can be linked naturally when used with other skills in a variety of situations than before.

Siege/Node War Changes

  • If you become a castle lord using the point system in a siege war, the rewards have been changed as follows
    • If you destroy the forts of all participating guilds before the end of the war, and become the castle lord, you can obtain the same glory-filled victory rewards as before.
    • If you become the lord of the castle in the point system after the end of the war, you will receive a ‘victory reward that burns fighting spirit’.

As the Conquest War pre-season progresses, many adventurers are fighting fiercely to become the final winner. There was an opinion that it was difficult to motivate the battle because the reward that exists and the reward for the winner of the point system were the same. Accordingly, the reward of the point system has been slightly lowered, and the reward when you destroy all guild forts and become the last winner has been changed so that you can feel a little more attractive. The difference between the two rewards is not designed to be large, but I hope that you will be able to earn a little more honorable reward by burning your fighting spirit until the end.
  •  The conditions of use and the unique color application time of the exclusive costume for occupation ‘Resolve to Shine the Sun’ have been changed as follows.

  •   Improvements have been made so that the family name of the destroyed adventurer is displayed in the system message displayed when the fortress/command post/field command is destroyed during the Node/Conquest War.

UI Changes

  • UI has been added to make the guild unit party/platoon recruitment smoother.
    • You can create a party and platoon within the guild through the Find Party/Team button in the Guild (G) window.
    • * The created party and platoons are only exposed to the members of the guild to which they belong.


    •  When you click the Promote button in the created party and unit, the party/platoon recruitment message and number of people are printed through the guild chat.
    • * If you click the printed message, you can join by sending a party/platoon membership application.

 

  •  The mount icon at the top left of the screen is always displayed, so the status of the mount has been changed to make it easier to understand.
    •  Even if the character level is less than 10, the mount icon is always displayed
    • Even if the mount dies, the mount UI does not disappear, and guides how to die and respawn.
    • * When you click the icon, it will guide you to the nearest stable.
  • When using the pad-only UI, the phrase ‘find directions’ on the key guide button at the bottom right of the world map (M) window has been changed to ‘find directions/cancel’.

Other Changes

  •  The contents of Fugar’s Cheering Letter have been changed to be more natural.
  •  The dialogue of NPCs in Epheria Port Village has been changed to be more natural.
  •  When a seagull in Velia is defeated, the phenomenon that the seagull rotates on the ground has been corrected.
  •  Even though a flood of light occurred in Elvia’s realm orc camp, the phenomenon that the defense reduction debuff was not temporarily applied has been fixed.
  •  The phenomenon that Korean characters could be entered into the effector and velocity fields when writing notes in the composition/score window of the music album has been fixed.
  • When using the dialog (Enter) window while the composition/score window of a music album is open, the phenomenon that intermittently impossible to input Korean has been fixed.
  • Calpheon, Atoraxion: The phenomenon that the movement and movement of the character was abnormally restricted in a specific location in Sikarakia has been corrected.
  • When using the 3D mini map with the mini map rotation setting enabled, the phenomenon that the mini map did not rotate when using the navigation function through the barter UI has been fixed.
