Class Reboots

The class reboots will be released on the live servers once they are completed for all the classes.

Before using the skills of rebooted classes on the Black Desert Global Lab, please make sure to reset your character’s skills to minimize any possible issues.
Patch notes related to the class reboot on the Black Desert Global Lab will be translated to other languages and released afterward.

Valkyrie

The Awakened Valkyrie uses an overwhelming weapon called Lancia, which specializes in attacks that pierce the front in a way that suits its characteristics. However, the range of skills was relatively narrow, and there were insufficient skills to damage the entire area based on the Valkyrie. Therefore, in order to compensate for these aspects and minimize manual manipulation, we focused on improving the attack range of awakening skills, reducing the cooldown time, and improving the movement skill. In addition, it has been improved so that hunting can be continued smoothly without using the Celestial Spear skill during PvE, and a concept that collapses the formation by adding a flow skill that can be linked immediately after ‘Enslar’s Divinity’, which is also a signature of the Valkyrie. and greatly enhanced the feeling.
Tradition Valkyrie has been changed to make specialization more useful in PvE, and the update has been made to improve hunting speed by adding an effect that attracts monsters and reducing the cooldown.

 

Main weapon

  • When using Heaven’s Echo skill, the range that attracts the attention of nearby enemies has been increased.
  • The phenomenon that the down smash effect of Divine Slam skill was applied to all hits has been fixed.

Dark Knight

The Dark Knight is a hybrid character with the concept of a magic swordsman representing Black Desert. The major improvement is the remake of the previously underutilized skill among the main weapon skills, further strengthening the concept of the hybrid. The fragrant trap skill has been changed to the ‘illusion trap’ skill as revealed in the video, which moves in a specific direction according to keystrokes and can temporarily disturb the enemy. Repeated annihilation has been changed to the Twilight Flow skill, and now when you press the left and right arrow keys while using Twilight, it will be activated as an attack skill with different effects. Please note that damage related to PvP or changes or improvements in the judgment effect of skills that many Dark Knight adventurers have commented may be considered and changed when adjusting the balance for all classes in the future.


Main weapon

  • Chain: Dusk skill has been changed so that it can be activated in addition to the linked action of Dusk I and II skill.
  • The Luscious Snare skill has been changed to the Hallucination Gap skill, and has been reorganized as follows.
    • When the ←/→ + F operation key is pressed, the Hallucination Gap skill is activated in the left and right directions in connection with the Dusk skill, respectively, and when used as a skill slot, it is activated in place.
    • When activated in the left or right direction, a trap is created in the opposite direction of the character, respectively, and when activated in place, a trap is created at the character’s location.

  • Obsidian Ashes have been changed as follows.
    • The sense of speed of skill movements has been improved.
    • It has been changed so that it can be activated in conjunction with the Smoky Haze skill while using the skill.
    • After using a skill, the speed of linking to other skills has been improved.
  • It has been changed so that it does not collide with characters and monsters while using the Smoky Haze skill.
  • The flow skills below for Air Strike skills have been added.
    • The damage of the skill is applied to the damage of the Air Strike skill.

  • When right-clicking after using the Flow: Air Strike skill, the Prime: Nocturne skill has been changed to activate.
  • When linking with another skill after using the Dark Shadow skill, it has been changed so that it can be linked with another skill after the defense buff effect is applied.
  • The Repeated Annihilation skill is the flow of the Nocturne skill, It has been reorganized into the Flow: Darkness Annihilation skill, and the effect, damage, and number of hits of the skill have been changed as follows.

  • The speed of the action of the Corrupt Ground skill has been improved, and the attack range of some hits has been changed to match the actual skill description.
  • After the Shadow Strike skill, the link to other skills has been changed so that it can be activated only after the attack, and the time when the attack is applied has been changed to match the actual character’s movement.

 

Succession

This reboot of the Dark Knight of Succession focused on improving the efficiency of PvE and alleviating the lethargy in ranged PvP situations. Accordingly, an attack in the form of linking movement skills such as twilight and foggy haze was added to the existing skill, and the range of Nocturne skill and the attack range of major skills were increased. In addition, we have improved the linkage speed between some skills, allowing more threatening attacks than before in close-quarters combat.
  • Prime: Obsidian Ashes skill has been changed as follows.
    • The sense of speed of skill movements has been improved.
    • It has been changed so that it can be activated in conjunction with the Smoky Haze skill while using the skill.
    • After using a skill, the speed of linking to other skills has been improved.
  • Prime: Wheel of Fortune, Prime: Lunacy of Vedir skill attack range has been increased.
  • Prime: Ravage Rake skill has been changed as follows.
    • The attack range of the skill has been slightly increased.
    • The sense of speed for the 2nd and 3rd strike movements of the skill has been improved.
  • The maximum range of Prime: Nocturne skill has been increased by about 23%.

Awakening

In the case of the Awakening Dark Knight, some of the skills that were previously underutilized, like the main weapon, were improved, and this was also mainly focused on increasing the efficiency in hunting. In particular, the cooldown of the seed of disaster, Flow: Rooted disaster skill has been adjusted with maximum emphasis on alleviating the so-called ‘Dilos’ section that occurs when a combo is composed with only awakening skills during hunting. The Rain of Despair skill has also been reorganized from the conventional attack of throwing a phantom sword to a wide-area attack that scatters phantom swords in front. I did. However, in the case of the above two skills, as a completely different concept was reorganized, the damage reduction rate in PvP was adjusted to be applied lower than before.
  • The movement speed and attack range of Touch of Exploitation I~IV skills have been changed, and the linkage speed to other skills has been improved.

Shai

Shai is precious.
I’ve been thinking about it for a really long time since the reboot project was released. Shai was excluded from this reboot because it was designed as a special character that is different from other characters, because so many adventurers have expressed disappointment about it. It is difficult to reboot, but we have decided to improve it towards PvE by reflecting the opinions of Shai adventurers across the country. The damage and range of skills using Florang have been increased, and the duration of the buff, which received the most comments for improvement, has doubled the duration of individual buffs and Black Spirit’s rage absorption in consideration of large-scale combat situations. In addition, the control keys have been improved so that the skill effect can be applied more easily, but the ‘Stronger, harder!’ The skill is the same as before.

In addition, a new attack skill that can strike in a forward range has been added, and a new movement skill that can shake the world while riding a Florant has been added to further enhance the fun of ‘Shy’. In the future, our precious Shai, please cherish it a lot.


  • Two new skills, ya~ho! and Taste It have been added.

  •  The damage of all attack skills has been increased by 20%.
  • The attack range of all skills that throw Florang has been increased. 
  • Improvements have been made to make Gather Around! faster after using skills.

Since the last update added a bulk wrapping string that can pack a large number of imperial dishes/alchemy items, this update has changed the ability to deliver imperial food/alchemy boxes regardless of the set quantity for each territory and server. As it is judged that the limited number of delivery applied to each territory and server is providing unnecessary fatigue to adventurers, from now on, you will be able to deliver beautifully packaged boxes through the Imperial Crafting Delivery NPCs in nearby villages without competing with other adventurers.

Campsite Update

  • When setting up a campsite, it has been improved to be able to set up a campsite even on sloping terrain. 
    • In the sloping terrain, the campsite is set up with the following appearance. However, campsites will not be set up on terrain with too steep slopes.

Progression Pass

  • An enhancement category has been added to the progression pass.

  • This category is a guide-type category that guides many adventurers to more easily proceed with the enhancing content.
    • Please note that, like other categories, you cannot proceed with the progression pass on season characters in the fixed enhancement category.
    • Completing each item in that category will reward you with 1 Memory Fragment.
    • The total rewards for completing this category are as follows.

  • All guild members can purchase the Resolve to Shine the Sun, but to wear it, you must satisfy the following conditions to participate in the Conquest War.
– Build a fortress in the pre-occupation area
– Guild (G) – Apply for participation in the Conquest War through the ‘Participate’ button in the Guild Member Status tab
  • When the Conquest War begins, the ‘Resolve to Shine the Sun’ outfit is dyed in a random color for each guild.
  • When you wear Resolve to Shine the Sun, it occupies the helmet, armor, gloves, and shoes costume slots, equipment durability consumption -10%, and jump height by 0.5m is applied.
Conquest War exclusive, group costumes have been added. This costume, which consists of shiny plate armor and a stylish cloak, is designed to enhance the adventurers’ sense of belonging to the guild when participating in the Conquest War. Also, to make it easier to distinguish between guilds, the color of the cloak is automatically assigned according to the number of guilds that participated in the Conquest War. Now, adventurers can show off the unity and majesty of the guild by wearing fancy group costumes to unite with the precious guild members.
However, please note that wearing this costume is not compulsory to participate in the Conquest War, considering that this costume may harm the expression of individuality of adventurers. We will continue to work hard so that the content before occupation can be a content that can make hot memories in your guild of adventurers.

UI Changes

  • The following functions of the scroll button have been fixed.
    • When the scroll button is clicked, the scroll does not move according to the position of the mouse.
    • When moving after clicking the scroll button, the mouse position has been modified so that it does not move.
  • Improvements have been made so that when two or more guild sign-up contracts are received, multiple contracts can be checked individually. 
  • The screenshot watermark design has been changed.

 

System Changes

  • It has been confirmed that items in the integrated exchange warehouse are not visible under certain circumstances, and the optimization option for items in the integrated exchange has been removed.
    • The optimization option will be reapplied after resolving the issue.
  • Chat window performance has been improved.

Bug Fixes

  •  Fixed the issue where mass processing did not proceed normally if a growth pass reward was obtained during mass processing.
  • The phenomenon that the title could be entered even if notes were added while entering the song title in the composition/score window of the music album has been fixed. 
  • When summoning Shai and playing the florestra instrument, the phenomenon in which it was intermittently exposed to other adventurers as a beginner instrument has been fixed. 
  • Fixed the issue where the skill list was displayed awkwardly when moving the mouse wheel while scrolling in the Skill (K) window.
  •  The phenomenon that the list was displayed unnaturally when scrolling in the character list window and the stables’ barn has been corrected.
  •  Atoraxion: The phenomenon that some terrain in Sikarakia was unnaturally exposed has been corrected.
