DEC Tuvala Gear Guide

Introduction

You can choose 1 PEN Tuvala weapon, 1 PEN Tuvala Armor, and 1 PEN Tuvala Accessory, obtained from the Season Servers, to enhance up to DEC (X) enhancement level.

DEC Tuvala has similar stats to PEN Blackstar Weapons, TRI Slumbering Armors, and TET Kharazad Accessories of the same type.
Once you reach DEC enhancement, you can swap the weapon for a PEN Blackstar Weapon, the armor for a TRI Slumbering Armor, and the accessory for a TET Kharazad Accessory.
- The gear cannot be sold on the central market, but the PEN Blackstar can be used to turn into a Sovereign Weapon and the Slumbering Armor can be used to turn into Edana’s Defense Gear.
- You will obtain a weapon box of your choice (mainhand/awakening/offhand) and can open the box on any character to obtain a weapon for that class
- You can choose which Slumbering Armor you would like to obtain when exchanging your Tuvala Armor (Silent Labreska’s Helmet, Silent Fallen God’s Armor, Silent Dahn’s Gloves, Silent Ator’s Shoes)
- You can choose which accessory you would like to obtain when exchanging your Tuvala Accessory. Eg. DEC Tuvala Necklace can be exchanged for a TET Kharazad Belt.
DEC Tuvala gear can only be obtained once per account, and the exchange can only be completed once per account
To get started, you will need a character that has graduated from Season and has a Seasonal Graduation Cap in their inventory.

DEC Tuvala Gear Stats

DEC Tuvala Weapons have very similar stats to a PEN Blackstar Weapon. In the example below, the Tuvala Longsword has almost the exact same AP as a PEN Blackstar and the same accuracy. You can find a breakdown of the stats for each enhancement level below.

How to obtain DEC Tuvala Gear

To start enhancing your Tuvala gear to DEC, you first need to complete a once-per-family quest at Fughar, which allows you to upgrade a PEN Tuvala Weapon and a PEN Tuvala Accessory to HEX enhancement level. Once the item is HEX level, you can enhance it through your black spirit all the way up to DEC.

What you will need:

A character that has graduated from the Season Servers
Season Graduation Cap item in your character’s inventory
PEN Tuvala Weapon x1 and PEN Tuvala Accessory x1

Make sure the graduation cap is in your current character’s inventory, then speak to the Black Spirit to obtain the “[Leveling Aid] Fughar’s Aid” quest.

The quest can be found from your Black Spirit in the Quest (A) category under the Suggested tab.

Once you have picked up the quest, go to Fughar to complete the quest, then take the “[Leveling Aid] Breaking Limits” and “[Leveling Aid] Breaking Limits II” quests that are now available from him.

The quests will give you three items called DEC Tuvala Gear Guide Essence of Ascent – Weapon, Essence of Ascent – Defense Gear, and Essence of Ascent – Accessory

These are the items that we will use to turn our PEN Tuvala Gear into HEX Tuvala Gear.

Summon your Black Spirit and use the Essence of Ascent items to enhance your PEN Tuvala Weapon, Armor, and Accessory up to HEX.

DEC Tuvala Gear Guide

There is also another quest available from Fughar called “[Leveling Aid] A New Ascent”. This quest will give you Marni Stones, which you can fill in return for Caphras Stones. You can collect up to x3000 Caphras Stones in total by filling these Marni Stones.

If you don’t need a TET Kharazad Accessory and don’t want to enhance your Tuvala Accessory to DEC, you can use Processing (L) > Heating to turn the “Essence of Ascent – Accessory” into Essence of Dawn x30.

This action is irreversible, and the Essence of Ascent item can only be obtained once per account.

Enhancing HEX – DEC Tuvala Gear

Once your Tuvala gear is at HEX level using the stones from Fughar, you need to enhance them to DEC using your own materials.

Tuvala Weapons are enhanced using Concentrated Magical Black Stones

Obtained by Processing (L) > Heating: Sharp Black Crystal Shard x1, Black Stone x2

Enhancing a Tuvala Weapon and Tuvala Armor to DEC can be expensive and use a lot of resources, such as cron stones and failstacks. I recommend using cron stones for each enhancement level. Although the weapon/armor is annoying to enhance, you can swap the weapon to a PEN Blackstar weapon, and the armor to a Silent (TRI) Slumbering Armor, once you reach DEC level. This method is much easier and more forgiving than enhancing a TET > PEN Blackstar weapon or TRI Slumbering Armor.

Tuvala Accessories are enhanced using Essence of Dawn

Obtained by Processing (L) > Heating: Yellow Grade TET or PEN accessories + Dawn’s Aura x1, or Dawn Crystals

Enhancing the Tuvala Accessories from HEX > DEC does not use failstacks, and is 100% success rate.

Enhancing the Tuvala Accessory to DEC can be expensive (approx 9 billion silver), but the enhancement is guaranteed and does not require any cron stones or failstacks. Once your accessory is at DEC level, you can swap it for a TET Kharazad Accessory, which is currently the best in slot accessory.

Tip: Some veteran players may choose to melt their Jetina accessory for Dawn of Essence x100 so that they can easily complete the DEC Tuvala Accessory enhancement. This is only recommended if you already have better gear than the Jetina accessory, or if you are planning to replace that slot with the TET Kharazad Accessory

Exchanging your DEC Tuvala Gear

When your Tuvala Gear has reached DEC enhancement level, you can exchange the item at Fughar through a once-per-family quest.

DEC Tuvala Gear Guide

Use the chat option to hand over your DEC Tuvala Weapon/Accessory, then complete the quest to obtain your PEN Blackstar/TET Kharazad Accessory.

When you hand over a DEC Tuvala Weapon, you will obtain a PEN Blackstar Weapon Box.
- You can choose between a mainhand, an awakening, or a sub-weapon box. Opening this box will give you a PEN Blackstar weapon for the class you open the box with.
When you hand over a DEC Tuvala Armor, you can choose the Silent (TRI) Slumbering Armor you would like to obtain when you complete the quest.
When you hand over a DEC Tuvala Accessory, you can choose the TET Kharazad Accessory you would like to obtain when you complete the quest.

DEC Tuvala Gear Guide

Do NOT forfeit the quest once you have handed over the DEC Tuvala gear. You will not get the gear piece back if you forfeit the quest, and will not be able to obtain your PEN Blackstar/TET Kharazad.

If this happens, contact support through the Official website, and they may be able to restore your item.

Which weapon/accessory should I choose?

If it is your first PEN Blackstar, I would choose your mainhand weapon for the biggest upgrade. If you already have a PEN Blackstar in this slot, I would recommend taking the awakening weapon. You can also use the PEN Blackstar to make a Sovereign weapon if this is your next possible weapon upgrade.

For the TET Kharazad Accessory, I would personally choose the Belt. This is because most players will have x2 Jetina Crescent Rings, a PEN Capotia Necklace, PEN Capotia Belt, and TET Distortion Earrings. When comparing the stats with these items, the Belt offers the biggest AP boost.
