Drakania Awakening

  •  Awakening of Dracania, the gray wings that burn fear and soar.
    • Awakened Drakania uses two spears, ‘Trion’, which have the meaning of a spear as a weapon.
    • Awakened Dracania can be converted into ‘Hexeblood’ and ‘Dragonblood’ form.
      • * ‘Hexeblood’ is a fighting stance based on human form, skillfully handling two trions, stabbing and slicing enemies.
      • * ‘Dragonblood’ is a fighting stance based on dragon form.
💬 Drakania’s Awakening will be released for all regions on July 27, 2022.

Unlike other classes, we began developing her Awakening after her Succession. This was rather a bold and new decision on our end, and we are finally glad to be able to reveal the news of her release to all of our Adventurers who’ve waited with great anticipation. We hope you enjoy her Awakening form.

To go into greater detail regarding her development process, our primary focus was to introduce new combat mechanics that allow Drakania to perform quite differently in Awakening compared to her Succession. Since she is dual-wielding spears, we wanted her movements to feel more primal, and we focused on a “stance dancing” mechanic that emphasized manual control of the class with precise timing of skills. Drakania’s Hexeblood form is focused on swift and relentless attacks that chain together to overwhelm opponents, while Dragonblood is a more heavy-hitting form. You may initially feel slightly overwhelmed by the different variations of certain skills available in both forms. The basic animations for the skills are similar, so we felt that once Adventurers grow accustomed to these differences.

Along with the “stance dancing” mechanic (which can also automatically activate after certain skills), we will see more and more Drakania Adventurers maneuver between forms with relative ease. (Of course, since her Awakening was designed to be so conceptually different from previous classes, we do expect it will take some time for Adventurers to get used to as it may appear very complex at first glance.  We hope you’ll take the time to see her true ability shine.)

 Awakening Drakania Main Skills

  • Aerial Burst – Flow: Ascension
    • Unleash the might of the Dragons to crush those nearby, then stab with your spear.

 

  •  Doombringer
    • Wrap yourself in flames, leap into the air, then slam down with the winds.

 

  • Tectonic Slam  (Hexeblood version)
    • Combine both spears to channel the winds then charge toward the enemy.

 

  •  Tectonic Slam (Dragonblood version)
    • Combine both spears, then unleash the winds forward to push back the enemy.

 

  •  Sundering Roar (Hexeblood version)
    • Channel the winds into your trion’s left spear, then unleash them forward. Set your right spear aflame, then leave a burning claw mark on the ground.

 

 

  •  Sundering Roar (Dragonblood version)
    • Channel the winds into your trion’s left spear, then call upon the might of Dragons to unleash an earthshattering roar forward. Your destructive Dragon breath decimates all enemies ahead.

 

Family Fame Improvements

The Family Fame daily pay is a bonus silver rewared prepared for adventurers to acquire every day through battle, life, knowledge (energy) and contribution that naturally grow while venturing in the Black Desert world.
Since the last update, which added the benefit of increasing the probability of obtaining items to the family reputation, many adventurers have been interested in the family reputation value. The Family Fame has been adjusted and improved to increase support at a higher level when the reputation level is low.
  • According to the family fame, the amount of family support that can be received every day has been increased.

Quest/Knowledge Changes

  •  The following quests have been added to the recommended quest list.
    • ‘[Music] Heavenly sound, florestra instrument!’
    • ‘[Music] A sound that was not in the world, a Marnis instrument!’
    • ‘[Music] Resounding fame, Marni Wave!’
    • [Life] Shai friends, let’s play instruments together!’ The quest title has been changed to ‘[Music] Shai friends, let’s play instruments together!’

 

  •  The conditions for accepting the quest ‘[Marni Wave] Marni’s Invention’ to acquire Marni Wave have been relaxed.
    • Existing: Level 50 or higher
    • Changed: Level 45 or higher

 

  •  The location where you can acquire the ‘Empty Square’ knowledge of the Jade Starlight Forest has been changed.

 

  • During the quest ‘Unfortunate Unrequited Love’, Lorenzo Murray’s lines have been improved to be more natural.
    • When the quest is completed, Lorenzo Murray and Clorins, appearing at a specific time and in a special place, begin to appear along with the white horse.
    • You can now read someone’s engraved text on ‘Someone’s Light’ in a special place.

 

  •  In order to be more immersed in the renewed Balenos main quest, it has been improved so that the ‘Bartali Farm and Emma’ dialog button does not appear at the point where Igor Bartali and Aislan met.
Like the ‘[Season] Regional Quest’ that helped the growth of the season character, various regional quests that can be performed on the general server have been added to help the adventurer grow after graduating from the season.
  •  Regional quests that can be performed in the following hunting grounds have been added.
    • When entering each hunting ground with a level 61 or higher normal character, you can automatically receive a quest for the area. (Once per family) (Modified)

  •  The phenomenon that the quest ‘[Weekly] Carnion Awakening Weapon’ could not be performed with the Archer class has been fixed.

UI Changes

  •  When a mount dies, a function has been added that allows you to receive information about the location of the stable and the location where the mount died through the mount icon in the upper left corner of the game screen.
  •  A directing effect has been added to the character image that appears when you select Succession or Awakening in the skill window.
  • The position of the repair setting button has been adjusted so that it does not overlap the repair button too much.
  • The alignment of attack power, defense power, and awakening attack power at the bottom of the equipment window has been improved to display more naturally.
  • It has been improved so that when the ‘node’ information is turned off in the world map (M), the node information is not activated even if the world map is reopened.
  • It has been improved so that when ‘barter’ information is turned on while ‘node’ information is turned off on the world map (M), ‘node’ information is also turned on.
  • The phenomenon that the exit function of ESC did not work during the cutscene while using the pad has been fixed.

Other Changes

  • When acquiring the ‘Artifact’ item, the character does not cheer.

  • If the character’s karma is less than 0 and the enhancement level of the item being worn decreases due to death, the item’s maximum durability has been changed to be adjusted according to the enhancement level
    • Example) When the enhancement level is lowered from TET (IV) Blackstar Greatsword’s maximum durability of 180, the maximum durability of TRI (III) Blackstar Greatsword is changed to 160.

  •  When a large vessel moves automatically, the phenomenon that the bow moves awkwardly due to the influence of the sea wind has been improved.

Bug Fixes

  •  The phenomenon that some item descriptions could not be checked when creating items by renting a dwelling on the world map has been fixed.
  • Awkward part of the description text of Balks’ Shout has been corrected.
  • The phenomenon in which the horse in the stable appears to be inactive intermittently depending on the location in a specific area has been corrected.
  • The problem that the door inside the Blue Mane Lion’s Manor did not open properly under certain circumstances has been fixed.
  • The phenomenon that certain objects in Taftar Plain were displayed awkwardly has been fixed.
  • The phenomenon that the color of the structure inside Serendia Temple looked awkward depending on the graphic quality has been corrected.
  • The phenomenon of swimming when moving from a specific location in the Glish Swamp to the Shai class has been fixed.

  •  The maximum number of character slots that can be created has been increased from 27 to 28.
    • The maximum character slot is fixed at 28, and it cannot be expanded further.

  •  Evasion
    •  The phenomenon in which the invincibility effect could be maintained continuously by quickly using left and right Evasion skill and other skill linkages has been fixed.

Awakening

    • The phenomenon has been fixed, in which the summon pet would disappear when the weapon is changed to a hunting gun after using the skill.
  • Aqua Jail Explosion
    • The phenomenon that the description of the skill was different from the actual hit has been fixed.

  • With the release of Dracania Awakening, the attack power application ratio during succession and awakening has been changed as follows.
    • Succession: 70% of the main weapon’s attack power and 30% of the awakening weapon’s attack power are applied.
    • Awakening: 70% of the Awakening weapon’s attack power and 30% of the main weapon’s attack power are applied.
