Today, we are here to inform you about the rather large content change applied through the Black Desert Research Lab.

First, a characteristics feature has been added to the hunting grounds of all areas (except some) except for the existing Balenos, Serendia, and Mediah areas.
Based on the recommended attack power, the purpose is to provide more options than now by giving certain characteristics to each hunting ground, such as areas with high efficiency of Agris Fever, areas with a high probability of acquiring Specter’s Energy, and areas with a high amount of combat experience or skill experience. As these features are added, we expect that adventurers will be able to choose a slightly more diverse hunting ground according to their current situation and goals.

The loot for each hunting ground is also adjusted.
Rather than adding new drop items, we took the direction of checking the overall drop balance and adjusting the necessary parts. In particular, since this part was overhauled as a whole and filled in and refined, the overall profit of each hunting ground is expected to increase or be maintained a little more.

We have expanded the route where you can receive more benefits than now in terms of increasing the probability of obtaining items.
First of all, in addition to the reduced central market tax, a 10% item drop chance effect was additionally provided to the benefits of family fame, and the increase in the item drop probability by section was also increased and expanded in the ecological knowledge score. The family fame and ecological knowledge were chosen to give you the feeling that the benefits naturally accumulate as you play the game consistently.

And in order to use the item acquisition rate increase in more variety in the future, an upper limit of up to 400% is added.
A maximum value (300%) has been added that can be applied to various spells, camp buffs, ecological knowledge benefits, events, and the blessing of Kamasylve. In addition, the benefit of increasing the drop rate, such as Fever Time now applies to Arsha servers as well and can go to a maximum value of 400%.

I think some of you may be unhappy about adding the maximum value for the item drop rate.
However, it has been formulated in consideration of the fact that it has been difficult to exceed 300% without an event or special order form so far, and we ask for your understanding as it is a plan to provide more freely and diversely related benefits in the future.

The overall improvement of the hunting ground introduced today is a plan to expand the selection of hunting grounds and provide a better environment, along with adjusting the Elvia area and adding Marni’s secret room after the last Calpheon Banquet.
As much as we prepared hard, we will concentrate until the end so that the result will be a more satisfactory situation than before.

Gyfin Rhasia Temple (Underground) Changes

  • The phenomenon in which the positions of monsters under the Gyfin Rasia Temple were moved abnormally has been improved. 
  •  It has been improved so that the <Despair> Gyfin Rasia Killer cannot move to the location of the Gyfin Rasia Temple Node Manager.
  •  The following have been applied to improve the frame drop phenomenon in the basement of Gyfin Rasia Temple.
    • The Killer has been changed to appear closer, and the tracking range has been reduced.

  •  A new [Housing] quest has been added to obtain furniture with artistic drawings of a genius painter emerging among sea otters.
    • A genius painter, Kakuo, who rises to the south of Altinova, Mediah, has come to visit.
    • Kakuo is a talented person who was discovered and hired by the Corsair character at the Paldak Fish Pirates Base
    • If you visit NPC Kakuo in Muttombung Village with a character of level 56 or higher, you can receive a painting artistically depicting the portrait of each class by paying the basic painting price and there is an additional painting cost as a daily quest that can be performed once per family.

We have added a technical description to the Dark Shard recovery technique by organizing the technical descriptions that are used in a mixture of Dark Shards and Dark Shards. In the case of Awakening, the skill Rain of Despair can be conveniently activated by right-clicking when used during skill linkage, but when used in a standing state, the control keys are different, which is inconvenient. In the case of Succession, we wanted to improve some areas that were lacking in PvP situations. First, the technology that applied additional guard damage in the previous update, Kang: Air Strike, was changed to Kang: Wheel of Destiny because there were many opinions that it was difficult to use in actual combat, and the critical hit probability of River: Wheel of Fate was applied even in PvP situations. Changed it as much as possible. Finally, one of the biggest changes, Succession: Illusion Trap skill, has been added.
