The Grind Spot information UI introduced in the last Calpheon Episode 2 is now updated.
 
We wanted to improve the Grind Spot information UI so that you can easily and conveniently check various information in the game, such as loot from each hunting ground, daily quests, and knowledge.
We have also made it possible to check the characteristics of each hunting ground that has been recently applied, and we are preparing an adventurer note link function that allows you to immediately check useful hunting ground information written by hunting ground guides or adventurers.
 
We hope that the new Grind Spot information UI can be a useful milestone for adventurers to enjoy their adventures.
  • The drop item information UI has been renewed as a hunting ground information UI where you can check various information about the hunting ground.
    • Menu (ESC) – Adventure (F5) – Hunting Ground Information UI is available in the hunting ground information.
    • You can check the related repeat quests, regional quests, and ecological knowledge information, including loot information that can be obtained from hunting grounds.
    • If you select a quest in the Repeat Quest field, directions to the place where you can receive the quest are activated.
    • If you select a knowledge in the ecological knowledge field, you can check the UI of that knowledge immediately.
    • You can find the hunting ground by the name of the hunting ground or the name of the loot item.
    • You can categorize the hunting ground by using the filter of the territory to which the hunting ground belongs and its characteristics (region quest, party hunting ground, Elvia’s area, Marni’s secret room).
    • In the case of a hunting ground that has characteristics for each hunting ground, you can check the additional characteristics of the hunting ground through the tag.

  • A function has been added that allows you to directly check the hunting ground information by clicking the hunting ground UI on the world map.

 

 

Godr-Ayed Weapons

  • The maximum number of Marni’s unstable fuel required for transferring PEN (V) Black Star and PEN (V) Godr-Ayed weapons has been improved to be fixed at 150.

※ For adventurers who have already transferred PEN (V) Godr-Ayed weapons from the Korean server, silver coins equal to the difference will be paid.

As the price of the central market increases due to the upper limit adjustment, the transfer cost of the PEN (V) Blackstar weapon has increased. We have added a function to fix the transfer cost so that it can be transferred at the same cost as before the update.

※ In the Black Desert Research Institute, only PEN (V) black star weapons can be exchanged for PEN (V) godr-ayed weapons, and PEN (V) godr-ayed weapons exchange for PEN (V) black stars weapons will be updated on the official server.

  •  A method of exchanging PEN (V) black star weapons and PEN (V) godr-ayed weapons has been added.
    • You can exchange PEN (V) Black Star Weapons and PEN (V) godr-ayed Weapons through Merindola, the highest spirit in Grana.
    • When exchanging weapons, you need 1 crystal of the burning sun, and a PEN (V) Black Star Weapon or a PEN (V) godr-ayedWeapon.
    • ※ You can exchange it for the same PEN (V) Godr-ayed weapon by handing over a PEN (V) Black Star weapon and a crystal of the burning sun.
    • ※ If you hand over a PEN (V) Godr-ayed weapon and a crystal of the burning sun, they can be exchanged for the same PEN (V) Black Star weapon.
    • ※ In the case of an improved awakening weapon, it can be exchanged in an improved state.
    • ※ When exchanging weapons, the engraved family name is maintained.

 

  •  The following changes have been applied to the godr-ayed weapon.
    • Improvements have been made so that the family name is engraved in the item description when the PEN (V) Godr-ayed weapon is successfully enhanced

※ For adventurers who have already acquired the PEN (V) Godr-ayed weapon from the Korean server, their family name will be engraved when the update is applied to the official server.

    • Fixed the issue where the phrase ‘Level down possible if equipment enhancement fails’ was displayed when attempting to enhance a PRI (I) grade Godr-ayed weapon.
       
  • Grana’s highest spirit, Merindora, opened up about the story behind the creation of Godr-ayed weapons.
    • The quest ‘[Godr-ayed Weapon] Threat of the Black Sun’ has been added to hear the story of Godr-ayed Weapons.
    • After completing the ‘[Godr-ayed Weapon] Merindora’s Call’ quest, you can receive a series of quests that tell the story of the dead god and Hadum.
    • ※ You can receive the ‘[Godr-ayed Weapon] Merindora’s Call’ quest while equipped with or possessing the I (IV) Black Star weapon. (You can complete the quest without handing over a weapon.)
    • ※ If you have already completed this quest, you can receive consecutive quest orders through Merindora.
    • You can check this quest through ‘[Combat] The Story of Godr-ayed Weapons’ in the Recommendation Tab.

 

Calpheon Elvia Changes

  • [Elvia] The following changes have been applied to Quint Hill.
    • After the ancient troll wakes up, it has been changed to become petrified again after a certain period of time.
    • Agris’s Fever consumption has increased by about 5.8 times compared to the previous one when killing ancient trolls.
    • Fixed the issue where nearby trolls did not intermittently attack adventurers when they were awakened by an ancient troll.
    • Fixed the issue where Gigagord, who appeared in the Elvia Distortion phenomenon, could not intermittently be defeated when it became petrified after stepping on the <Sealed> Troll Shaman’s petrified pad.
  •  [Elvia] The following changes have been applied to Saunil Camp.
    • Calpheon soldiers have been changed so that they do not stray too far from the flag.
  •  It has been changed so that loot can be obtained even when the bosses of Calpheon Elvia distortion are defeated using elite monsters in each hunting ground.
※ The following information cannot be checked at the Black Desert Research Lab and will be updated on the official server.
  • [Elvia] The following changes have been applied to Quint Hill.
    •  The stamina of the ancient trolls <encroached by the ancient seals> has been increased by 1.48 times compared to the previous ones.
    • The placement of some trolls that appeared in abnormal positions has been corrected.
  • [Elvia] The following changes have been applied to Hexe Sanctuary.
    • The phenomenon that Hexe Mari’s specific attack was different from the attack range has been fixed.
    • Explosive ghosts appearing in Hexe Sanctuary have increased the explosion damage by 1.79 times compared to the previous ones.
  •  [Elvia] The following changes have been applied to the Rhutum camp.
    •  After killing all the <Honorable> Rhutums, the remaining Rhutum towers disappear after a certain amount of time has passed.
    • ※ If the Rhutum Tower disappears due to the above, the Rhutum Wizard will not appear.
  •  [Elvia] The following changes have been applied to Saunil Camp.
    • The position of the Calpheon flag has been adjusted so that the siege tower does not block the way.
    • Fixed the issue where the siege tower could not be attacked intermittently.
    • The placement of some monsters in Saunil Camp has been modified.

  •  As the energy of the black sun grew stronger in Calpheon Elvia’s realm, the Ahibs’ movements against Hadum became busier.
    • Black Spirit (/) – Calpheon Elvia’s realm continuous quest, ‘[Elvia] Ahib’s Movement’ has been added to the list of recommended quests.
    • This quest can be done with characters who have completed Serendia Elvia’s Realm quests from NPC Regenti in the basement of Glish Village, <Ahib Audragyo Priest>, and are level 61 or higher.
      • * Received quest (O) – You can check it when you set the quest type ‘Battle’.
    • You can proceed with a new weekly quest from Brolina’s SS NPC after completing all of these quests.
    • If you proceed with this series of quests, you can acquire the following 6 new types of knowledge related to Calpheon Elvia’s realm.

    • The phenomenon in which the party/guild member activated the camouflage function of the camouflage, but it was displayed as not applied has been fixed.
    • The phenomenon that the color of the family name was displayed differently when wearing camouflage has been corrected.
  • The following improvements have been made to Liana’s Gathering Toolbag.

UI Changes

  • The adventurer note link button design of the growth pass has been changed.
  • It has been improved to display an ellipsis […] when the server name is too long in the party/unit search menu.
  • The phenomenon in which the character selection window UI could not be closed by pressing the ESC key has been fixed if you failed to use the mount technology while the character selection window UI was activated.

 

 

Bug Fixes

  •  The information on the top of the Pearl Shop purchase history has been corrected.
  • The phenomenon that the camera did not move while previewing Dracania accessories in the Pearl Shop has been fixed.
  • When using Lynch’s Explosive Bomb, Lynch’s Paralyzing Bomb, and Lynch’s Venom Bomb as the Witch and Wizard class, the phenomenon in which the character’s movements were awkward has been fixed.
  • The phenomenon that abnormal pine trees existed in a specific location in Tur Valley has been corrected.
  • A typo in the view menu of my character’s health gauge has been corrected.

Class Changes

Today, in the Black Desert Research Lab, Rabam’s Awakening – Skill Awakenings (Rabam skills), which had low utilization for each class, was improved.
While the amount of damage is adjusted so that it can be used in general situations, it has been adjusted so that it can be used effectively with other skills by improving the linkage, movement, and effectiveness or usability of the skill.

Warrior

  • Counter Slash skills have been improved as follows.
    • After using the Counter Slash skill, the linkage speed to other skills has been increased.
    • Improvements have been made so that you can link the 2 hits of Counter Slash when left-clicking while using the following skills.

    • The effect of 30% movement speed reduction for 10 seconds upon successful hitting has been removed.
    • When using a skill, melee attack power +16 for 10 seconds has been added.
    • Skill cooldown has been changed.
      • * Cooldown time: 45 seconds → 20 seconds
  • Frenzied Winds skill has been improved as follows.
    • Air attack effect has been added.
    • Improvements have been made so that the Frenzied Winds skill can be linked when left-clicking after using the next skill.

    • Improvements have been made so that the last strike action of the skill is activated more quickly.

 

  • Frenzied Tyrant has been improved as follows.
    • The skill’s striking action has been improved to activate more quickly.

  • Horror Slam has been improved as follows
    • Down smash effect has been added.
    • The 9% reduction in hit rate for 10 seconds upon successful hitting has been removed.

 

  • Lightning Burn has been improved as follows.
    • The rear movement distance has been increased.
    • The 20% attack speed reduction effect for 10 seconds upon successful hitting has been removed.
    • Improvements have been made so that Lightning Burn can be linked when left-clicking while using the following skills.

  • Fixed the issue where, after using the Prime: Trample skill, Shift + Left-click was linked to an attack rather than a force field.

  • Storm Slash has been improved as follows.
    • The effect of the 50% critical strike chance of additional hits has been changed to apply the effect of 50% of the critical hit chance on all hits.
    • Improvements have been made so that additional hits are linked when left-clicking while using the following skills.

  •  The Gale Slash skill has been improved as follows

  • The Decapitating Dragon skill has been improved as follows.
    • Skill damage has been adjusted as follows. (PVP damage is the same as before.)

    • Improvements have been made so that 2 hits of the Decapitating Dragon skill can be linked when left-clicking while using the following skills.

Valkyrie

  • The Divine Judgment of Light skill has been improved as follows.
    • 1 hit damage has been adjusted as follows.
      • * 1 hit damage: 835% x7 → 1130% x 7
    • Improvements have been made so that the skill Divine Judgment of Light can be linked when left-clicking after using the following skill.
      • * Celestial Smite, Celestial Spear
    • A 20% reduction in attack speed has been added for 10 seconds.
    • The effect of reducing movement speed by 10% for 5 seconds has been removed.

 

  • Shining Judgment of Light has been improved as follows.
    • The behavior of the skill has been changed.
    • Skill damage has been adjusted as follows.
      • * 1 hit damage: 1034%x2, up to 3 hits → 1034%x1, up to 7 hits
      • * 2nd hit damage: 1034%x3 → 1034%x6
      • * PvP damage reduction rate 45% → 60%
    • A down smash effect has been added when the first hit is successful.
    • The effect of recovering 20 mental strength for each successful hit has been removed.
    • Resources consumed when using skills have been changed.

    • ※ As it is changed to a skill that consumes endurance, stamina does not recover among the skills.
    • Improvements have been made to enable linkage by pressing the space bar while using Righteous Charge and Shining Dash.

  • Ninjutsu: Ankle Splitter has been improved as follows.
    • 1 hit damage has been adjusted as follows.
      • * 1 hit damage: 694%x3 → 1040%x3
      • * PvP damage reduction rate: 56.1% → 65.9%
    • The attack range of additional hits has been increased.
    • The additional hit critical hit rate 100% effect has been changed to apply the 100% critical hit chance effect on all hits.

 

  • Shackle Target skill has been improved as follows.
    • Improvements have been made so that the Shackle Target skill can be linked when left-clicking while using the following skills.

  • Shuriken: Moon Dive has been improved as follows.
    • The behavior of the skill has been changed.
    • An effect that draws the attention of nearby enemies has been added.
    • The invincibility effect has been removed while the character has disappeared.
    • The stealth effect after using the skill has been removed.
    • Cooldown time has been changed.
      • * Cooldown time: 30 seconds → 20 seconds

 

  • Ninjutsu: Decapitation has been improved as follows.
    • Skill damage has been adjusted as follows. (PvP damage is the same as before.)
      • * Hit damage: existing 577%x3 → 1533%x4
      • * Additional hit damage: 1731%x6 → 1533%x5
      • * PvP damage reduction rate: 36.9% → 44.6%

 

 

Wizard

  • Mana Arrows has been improved as follows.
    • A front guard effect has been added while using the skill.
    • The stun effect has been removed when the second hit is successful.
    • The mana absorption effect when the second hit is successful has been changed to be absorbed when the first hit is successful.
    • The skill’s 2nd hit damage has been adjusted as follows.
      • * 2nd hit damage: 231% x 7 → 808% * 4 hits
    • The character rotates when using the 2nd hit skill.

 

  • Trembling Thunder has been improved as follows
    • Skill behavior has been improved
    • Skill damage has been adjusted as follows.
      • * Hit damage: 824%x11 → 1153%x11
      • * PvP damage reduction rate: 30% → 45%

 

Witch

  • Mana Arrows has been improved as follows
    • A front guard effect has been added while using the skill.
    • The stun effect has been removed when the second hit is successful.
    • The mana absorption effect when the second hit is successful has been changed to be absorbed when the first hit is successful.
    • The skill’s 2nd hit damage has been adjusted as follows.

Through today’s patch, Shai’s monster defense reduction ability has been adjusted. Basically, Shai shows good efficiency when dealing with monsters with high defense with reduced defense and a large number of hits. However, while she was preparing for the highest level of hunting ground updates such as Crypt of the Resting Thoughts, Gyfin Temple (Underground), and Calpheon Elvia, we decided that it was unreasonable to continue considering the balance as it is. In particular, her monster defense reduction ability based on a percentage had an excessively high efficiency in the highest level of hunting ground.

Therefore, through today’s patch, the 10% monster defense reduction effect of Shai’s Hop-Three, Kwik-Two, and Twirl-Three skills has been changed to ‘reduce all defense by 30’, and the cooldown of the Misty Haze skill has been adjusted from 30 seconds to 3 minutes. (The Misty Haze skill has been largely adjusted to the cooldown while maintaining the defense reduction ability so that its power can be maintained in party hunting or in certain situations.)

However, by allowing Florin Leaves to recover from various skills, the attack power increase effect can be maintained to the maximum through Twirl-Three, One-Two-Three, and Go! A 6% increase in all hit rates has been added to the Try This! skill as well. In the case of the ‘Misty Haze’ skill, as the cooldown time is adjusted, it becomes more important, so we have improved so that Super Armor can be applied from the start of the skill.

I think that many Shai adventurers will feel very sorry for this adjustment. We wanted to keep it as much as possible, but we decided that it was a necessary part to clean up, as higher hunting grounds will continue to be released in the future as well as the past hunting grounds. However, the key to this adjustment is not to drastically reduce Shai’s hunting ability, but to adjust the efficiency where it is too high in a specific hunting ground. Today’s patch is not the end, but we will continue to check and adjust if it is not enough.
