Mass of Pure Magic

  • When excavating at the Tomb of Stars and the Tomb of Sleeping Mind, the working time has been reduced by 50% compared to the previous one.
  • The probability of obtaining a Mass of Pure Magic that can be obtained during excavation at the Star Tomb and the Tomb of Sleeping Node has been changed to 100%. 
  • The probability of obtaining a Mass of Pure Magic that can be obtained during excavation at the dividing mountain base has been increased by 4 times compared to the previous one.
  • As the chance of acquiring Mass of Pure Magic items increases through excavation of bases, it has been added that you can acquire  Mass of Pure Magic as loot even when you defeat monsters in the following areas.

The source of Mass of Pure Magic has been expanded. We have made it possible to obtain a Mass of Pure Magic even in low-level hunting grounds, and in the case of production bases, we have improved the working time and probability, so that those who are just preparing Blackstar equipment can supply enough.

Summer Season

  • Among the simplified main quests that can be progressed as season characters in the summer season, the following have been modified.
    • The simplified main quest has been changed from being able to proceed once per family to be able to proceed if it is a ‘season character’. In response to the opinions of adventurers who want to proceed again after deleting or converting a season character, it has been changed so that the simplified main quest can be performed more than once only for season characters.
    • The starting condition of the Valencia main quest has been changed from completing ‘[Special Growth] Fughar’s Memorandum Chapter 11’ to ‘[Special Growth] Fughar Memorandum Chapter 8’. This quest can be completed when you reach level 56.
    • The simplified main quest process has been changed from using the ‘Fughar’s Memorandum’ item to receiving and completing the quest through Black Spirit (/). Accordingly, the ‘Fugar’s Memorandum’ item in possession will be deleted.
    • The completion conditions for the simplified main quest have been added. After completing the level-up in accordance with the existing level-up conditions, you can complete it by talking with the Black Spirit (/). If you talk to Black Spirit (/), you can complete the main quest conditions and related season passes according to the simplified main quest progress.
    • Fixed the issue where all the simplified main quests were completed, but some Season Pass objectives and quests could not be completed. In the case of adventurers experiencing this bug, they can achieve the season pass goal by talking with the Black Spirit (/), and the quests for ‘Legendary Blacksmith’ and ‘Fairy Companion’ have been modified so that they can normally receive consecutive quests. 
    • The amount of Beginner Black Stone (Weapon/Armor) items that can be received as a reward in the simplified main quest has been approximately doubled. This also applies retroactively to adventurers who have already completed the simplified main quest.
    • The bug that some social actions could not be acquired during the simplified main quest has been fixed.

World Bosses – Loot System

  • When attacking the world boss, the minimum standard damage for loot has been applied.
    • The right to obtainloot is given only when the amount of damage greater than the threshold is achieved.
    • The minimum damage is equivalent to 0.01% of the shared health of each world boss on all servers.

Improvements have been made to the part where adventurers who participated in hard work and those who did not can get the same reward when confronting a ‘Nightmare boss’ like Bloodstorm Nouver. We’ve now applied a minimum damage standard to the loot requirements, meaning that fighting this boss requires minimal effort. However, the standard was not set too high considering the time for those with low growth values ​​and the second boss attack (two bosses appear, the time to attack one and then the other).

Also, in the case of Nouver, who wears Nouver and Bloodwind, the current resurrection base is too far away, so please note that we are preparing for improvement in this area.

The drop of each hunting ground has been increased so that Caphras Stone can be supplied more smoothly than now. The number of hunting grounds where Caphras Stone and Ancient Spirit Powder are already dropped has been increased, and Kratuga, Aakman Temple, and Hystria Ruins, which did not appear at all, have been added to the drop list. However, the amount that can be obtained is based on the valley of Olun, which is currently set the highest, and other areas have been adjusted so that it does not reach this (except the Crypt of Resting Thoughts). At the same time, in the case of daily quest rewards that can be carried out in all hunting grounds, we have improved the supply and demand a little more smoothly by increasing the previously insignificant number. If you hunt hard even at the beginning of Valencia, the growth section, you can get 5-10 Caphras Stones (based on 1 hour).

In addition, in this hunting ground adjustment, we did not include the Elvia area first, because we are considering the additional use of elemental weapons that are currently only available in the Elvia area. Therefore, please note that in the Elvia region, additional updates will be made after the elemental weapon-related patch has been processed, if it is still judged to be insufficient.

The trend of interfering with the progress of Khan Raid has been an issue that has been constantly raised. Other Changes

  • The phenomenon that large ships between guilds occupying Calpheon, Mediah, and Valencia territory were not displayed in red has been corrected.
  • Memory usage has been improved when a video is being played while the game is in progress.

UI Changes

  •  After accepting a quest through conversation with an NPC, an effect has been added so that the quest widget is highlighted along with quest information when the conversation ends.
  • In quests and challenges (Y, pop-up), if you press the receive button without selecting optional reward, the effect production has been added to the unselected optional reward slot. 
  • During conversations with some NPCs, a color highlighting effect has been added to the dialogue that mentions the adventurer’s name.
  • Family name change The name of the currently connected character is exposed on the character/family image displayed on the left side of the UI, and the entered family name is immediately reflected so that you can check it in advance. 
  • When the starting adventurer sets the family name, the lines of the Black Spirit displayed on the family name change UI have been changed to match the reality. 
  • When there is a new reward in the Black Spirit’s gift box, a notification message along with the effect effect has been added to the notification widget at the bottom right of the game screen.
    • This information message is only displayed when the maximum level of a character in the family is 49 or lower.
  • The character switching and fairy menus at the top left of the game screen have been changed to be exposed from the point in time when the actual function can be used. 
    • The character change function is only exposed when there are characters of level 56 or higher in the family.
    • The fairy function is exposed when there is a character of level 53 or higher in the family or has a fairy. 
  • Changed so that when the time of the value package expires while the product is waiting for sale on the integrated exchange, the line breaks in the information displayed are naturally exposed. 
  • If the name of an item becomes long due to the size of the font in the integrated exchange, it has been changed to be abbreviated. 
  • After setting the barter UI to the sticker UI, the sticker UI has been changed so that even if you press the ESC key when talking with the stable keeper and the ferry keeper NPC, the sticker UI is not closed. 
  • Fixed the issue where the battery reload time was displayed abnormally in the mount information window when the performance optimization option was used
  • When wearing the Pearl Wagon equipment with the body and cover integrated, the equipment has been modified to be displayed properly in the stable mount bag UI. 
  • The warning UI that is exposed when finding directions through the quest UI on the Elvia server has been modified so that the alignment is not misaligned even when the default resolution is not set.

Class Changes

All Classes

Greetings from the Black Desert Studio.
Today, we would like to talk about the basic movements and controls of classes—in particular, Archer and the classes released after him. When we were creating Archer’s basic movements, we wanted his movements to look a bit more natural, so we added a new, exclusive animation. As this animation ended up being implemented on Archer, Guardian, Hashashin, Nova, Sage, and the recently released Corsair, we received a lot of feedback saying that their movements felt frustrating to control, especially when compared to the older classes. Then the class reboot was announced, and we saw that some Adventurers were concerned that the existing classes would also be changed to be like the newer classes.

We would like to make this absolutely clear, there are no plans to change the basic movements and controls of older classes. Furthermore, we will be improving the basic movements and controls of Archer, Guardian, Hashashin, Nova, Sage, and Corsair to match the feel of the older classes. We’re currently working to prepare this patch as soon as possible and expect to release it in the Global Labs on July 22.

Truthfully, we’ve heard a great deal of feedback saying that “this class feels heavy” or “the movement delay is really cumbersome.” Looking back, we should have decided to make improvements sooner, so we would like to sincerely apologize for how late it being worked on.

We want to thank our Adventurers worldwide for always sending us such excellent feedback. We will do our best to make Black Desert the best it can be.

 

Striker

  • The damage description of Black Spirit: Rage Hammer I~V has been changed to match the actual applied value.
    • However, the actual amount of damage applied is the same as before.

Corsair

The core of Corsair’s movement technology is ‘barrel riding’, starting with ‘Mareka’s Rope’. In particular, the connection related to this can be an advantage in that it flows like water, but there was a feeling of being caught in the middle due to the cooldown of the barrel riding. In this regard, we have improved the skill ‘Riding the Barrel’ so that it can be used even during the cooldown, adding to the fun of this part. In addition, there is a part where the skill manipulation keys overlap with the manipulation keys of other skills, so the order of activation of each skill has been changed so that the skill with the difficult manipulation is activated first.
  •  As the Corsair class is released on the official server, it has been changed so that the Corsair class can be created in the Black Desert Lab.
  • A challenge (Y) that can be completed as a Corsair character has been added to the Black Desert Research Lab.

  • Corsair Succession has been added to the Black Desert Research Lab.
    • Lv. With a Corsair character of 56 or higher, you can proceed with the quest by receiving the ‘[Research Succession] Corsair, Another Power’ quest through Black Spirit (/).
  • The Smooth Sailin’ skill has been improved so that it can be used even during the cooldown.
  • When using the Black Spirit: Mareca: Sea Stroll, the character rotates in the direction of the camera before the last hit.
  • The Smooth Sailin’ skill has been improved so that it can be smoothly linked with the Wave Lash skill while using it left and right.
  • It has been improved so that it can be linked with the Wave Lash even when using the Riding Waves left and right and backwards. 
  • In use of the Prime: Wipe Out skill, It has been improved so that it can be linked with the Mareca: Sea Stroll skill. 
  • Fixed the issue where Mareca Swing skill was activated prior to Riding Waves when holding the ↑ + Shift key in a low stamina state.
  • Fixed the issue where automatic movement was not possible when attempting to move automatically by pressing the T key while stopping while moving forward in battle status.
  • After using Storm Surge skill, movement and linkage with other skills have been improved to continue smoothly. 
  • The bug in which the Overflow skill was activated even when the control key for the Wipe Out was entered after using the Splashin’ Around, Mareca: Jet Stream skills has been corrected.
  • Flow: After the Storm skill has been improved so that it can be linked after the Whirlpool, Crashing Wave, and Mareca: Spiral Soak skills.
  • The phenomenon in which the Crashing Wave was activated even when the operation key of the Flow: After the Storm skill was entered after the 2nd hit of the Wave Lash has been fixed.
  • Fixed the issue where the damage was not applied when using the Prime: Wave Lash I~IV skill in place during the cooldown period. 
  • Fixed the issue where damage was not reduced when sprinting or surfing after sprinting or surfing during the cooldown of the skill Prime: Wave Lash II skill was not reduced. 
  • When sprinting and using the Wave Lash skill at the same time, the Wave Lash skill has been changed so that it does not activate while moving forward. 
  • Fixed the issue where the sound effect was not output when using the Prime: Wave Lash I-IV skill during the cooldown period.
  • The phenomenon in which the last blow did not activate even when the ↓ key was pressed while using the I~Absolute: Mareca: Sea Stroll skill has been fixed.
  • When stopping while moving in a combat stance, the movement has been improved to continue naturally.
