Global Lab Changes this week!

Character Swap/Tag Changes

• New features have been added to the character tag system. Characters A and B can be connected through ‘Marni’s Suspicious Device’ and now share equipment with each other.
  
  • If you complete the Black Spirit’s recommended questline with a character at level 56 or higher, you can unlock the ‘Item Transfer’ function that allows you to transfer the equipment of character A to character B through Marni’s suspicious device.
    
  • ‘Marni’s Unstable Fuel’ is required for item transfer, and can be purchased with silver at the NPC store.
  • The amount of Marni’s unstable fuel needed is determined by calculating approximately 3% of the total central market price of the three weapons + the Caphras enhancement level.
    
  • The “Item Transfer” basically creates a copy of your current gear (including accessories, weapons and armor) on your tagged character. Items transferred to character B can be equipped, but some functions such as central market registration and placing the items in storage are not available.
  • If you disconnect the characters, the copied transferred items also disappear. If you connect character A with another character again, you will need to use the item transfer again, and Marni’s unstable fuel is consumed.
  • Seasonal characters and Shai’s ‘Sol’ items can not use item transfer.
    
  • For easier testing, Black Desert Global Lab can use the item transfer function using 2 billion silver instead of using Marni’s unstable fuel. In addition, the number of fuel required is subject to change based on feedback.
    

New Ship Crystals

• An item ‘Sea Stone’ has been added that can be equipped on large ships
  

• The higher the grade of “Sea Stone”, the better stats are applied to the ship.
  • You can obtain miscellaneous items that can be sold for various gemstones and crow coins by defeating Rekrashan sea monsters
  • When using the gemstone item, you can obtain 1 type of Sea Stone of the same grade

• Livinia, Lavinia’s cousin, has arrived at Port Ratt across the ocean. You can purchase a variety of ocean-related items through Livinia.
  • If you take the certificate of exchange for the top of the crow to Livinia, it can be exchanged for a Verdant Black Stone.
• You can purchase Oquilla Green, Aqua, Golden Freshwater, and Void Liberation Stone through Livinia’s Crow Coin Shop at Port Ratt.

Tier 10 Arduanatt Changes

• The ‘dream’ system, which is a method of acquiring dream arduanat, has been improved
  • To attempt a dream, you first need one male and one female arduanatt. Then use ‘Kturan’s fruit’ to attempt the dream process.
    
  • ‘Kturan’s Fruit’ can be acquired through rewards for horse imperial delivery, horse racing, daily quest rewards, etc., and cannot be bought from the Central Market.
  • Two arduanatts that have succeeded in dreaming are reborn and exchanged for one dream arduanatt. The horse is born with all the skills born in Arduanatt and those born in dreams. Birth skills do not disappear when you reset growth.
    
  • Two Arduanatts who have failed in their dreams can be recovered at any time. Also, you can retry your dreams by using ‘Kturan’s Fruit’ again at any time.

In addition to the dream-born skills, we wanted to make Arduanatt learn more cool exclusive skills (including normal and dream-only), or some dream-like Arduanatts that have been reborn with awesome new appearances. We are constntly looking for a variety of ways to meet players expectations. In particular, we are looking for a direciton that can become a new or small goal for those who enjoy the training life skill as their main content. The options of our “Trainer” players are very important and we will continue to receive relevant feedback and ideas to improve the process as much as possible until the update is brought to official servers.

Red Battlefield Changes

• The location of the entrance to the Black Desert/Red Desert Army on the base map of the Red Battlefield has been changed so that you can enjoy the battle on the Red Battlefield under the same conditions
  

• The new area of ​​the Red Battlefield ‘Garmoth’s Nest’ has been changed as follows.
  • On Garmoth’s Nest battlefield, Garmoth randomly attacks adventurers, using fire attacks whilst flying and fire-breathing attacks.
  • The ‘Garmoth Statue of Disaster’ in the middle of the battlefield has been removed.
  • 5 minutes after starting, the size of the pots located throughout the battlefield has been changed to increase, and the effect has been improved to make it more visible.
  • The jump power increase buff that could interfere with the battle when acquired has been removed.
  • Red battlefield NPCs and pots for obtaining buffs have been added to three places that can be resurrected for each team in Garmoth’s Nest battlefield.

 

Sea Monster Changes

• The Old Moon Rescue Corps have reported that the Goldmont Pirates are expanding their forces to the seas of Vadabin near the Port of Ratt and attacking the trade ships in and out of Port Ratt. The Port of Ratt Marine Guard is recruiting skilled navigators to clear the Goldmont Pirates.
  
  • When you defeat the <Outlaws in the Sea>  Goldmont Pirates, there is a chance that the Goldmont Pirates will issue a warning. When the alert falls, a Goldmont battle commander appears nearby. The Goldmont battle command ship receives support from nearby pirate ships depending on the battle situation.
    
  • If you defeat the <Outlaws in the Sea> Goldmont Pirates, there is a chance to obtain Epheria Caravel/Galleass equipment crafting items and Epheria Carrack enhancement items as loot
    
  • When you defeat the <Outlaws in the Sea> Goldmont Pirates, you can get more sailor experience points than the existing Goldmont Pirates.

• When you defeat Rekrashan, <Black Wave Pursuer> Black Rust, and <Black Wave Pursuer> Nineshark have a chance of appearing. You can obtain various items that can be sold as sea stones and crow coins.

• Racehorse Horse racing has been changed as follows. (Deleted from Official Patch Notes)
  
  • The distance and speed that are pushed when using drift has been changed to increase in proportion to the distance when driving.
  • The instantaneous acceleration speed used after drifting has been changed to be proportional to the speed of the previous driving.
  • The acceleration at low speed has been increased, and the acceleration at high speed has been reduced.

Quest/Knowledge

• Rumors have been heard that a suspicious box containing the secrets of residents (?) is being discovered in the Balenos area. As a result, the residents of Balenos are trembling with anxiety about their secrets being revealed, and are looking for adventurers who can correct someone’s pranks.
  • If you open the box to obtain a note and then bring it to the residents related to the message, you can acquire the secret knowledge.
  • For some messages, you can choose whether to bring it to the rumored protagonist or to their rivals or related people. It can be said that the fate of the villagers is at stake depending on the adventurer’s choice.
  • When you complete the quests associated with all messages, you can proceed with the hidden quest to find the criminal who is spreading the secrets.
  • It is said that special rewards and titles can also be obtained by completing hidden quests and finally finding the culprit, so it is recommended to take a close look at the surroundings when passing through the Balenos area.
• Rumors have been heard that Fughar is distributing a book containing his secrets for adventurers who finish their journey on the season server and start a new adventure on the regular server.
  • If you go to Fughar with a character who has graduated from the season server and converted to a regular character, you can receive an order for'[Graduation Support] Fughar’s Secret to Success’ quest. When you complete this quest, you will receive a book containing Fughar’s secret.
  • This quest can only be performed once per family.
  • If you use a book containing Fughar’s secret, you can automatically receive a quest. In addition, you can receive a book containing the following secrets by completing the quest that was automatically ordered.
  • If you accidentally lose a book, you can get it back from Fughar.

User Interface

• A view by family/character name has been added to Settings → View.
  • Using this setting, the names displayed in the following UI are displayed as the family name or character name depending on the setting.
    • Party/Platoon Chat, Guild Notice, Arsha Notice, Obtained Items, Obtaining hidden recipes, obtaining rewards through mini-game, obtaining rewards by combining items, enhancement success/failure, death message
• When using a whisper, it has been changed to send the default family name.
• A button to directly enter the minimum and maximum amount in the guild contract has been added.
• Linkage guide has been added at the bottom of the Skill guide widget.
